Almost done with the coin physics code(when you shoot the enemy lotsa coins are spawned and fly at the player) After I finish that, I need to work on optimizing the game and make it run faster. Also, do you guys think the coins should fly to the upper right of the screen to a coin counter? Or should they just fall to the floor and stay there like the stick figure ragdolls, and fly to the coin counter after each wave?
Haha, it wont =) I will probably have it fly into the upper right so the coins don't distract the player as much. I should have the code for that done sometime today.
I was going to suggest having the coins fall, but fad out fairly quickly as they fell while the total got added to the counter, but having them fly to the upper right will also work
Almost done, right now I have the coins flying into the upper right. Its just something I hacked together really fast, so I'll need to reorganize some of the code for it to run at a good speed =/ I'll try to get a video up when I'm done =)
Thanks for the support! Haha, thanks! I'm gonna work on designing the store menu that will show up after each wave, I'll try to upload some pics of my drawing soon...
it seems like a logical arrangement for the store, I'd say though include -a count of how many we have currently of a particular powerup so we know if we need/want to buy -confirmation for purchasing so we can cancel a purchase if we accidentally hit the wrong button or changed our mind
epic noobish, why don't you try to give out some help at least? This game reminds me of the other parachute games, looks pretty nice, but might need more color , like the background, if there was some sort of sky'ish background or something
Yeah, I'll try to include those, the count of powerups is definitely going in there ^^ Haha, yeah...I was thinking of making some sort of progressive background to indicate how long is left before each wave. If you've ever played Ratchet and Clank, the sound when you get a lot of bolts (i love that sound) is the sound I'm going after with the coins ^^
I was thinking to switch weapons, you tap the player, and all your weapons spin out into a little circle, and the game freezes. Then you drag your finger to the weapon you want to use. Any thoughts?
That could work, but wouldn't be quicker to just tap the player and drag? The weapons would be lined in a circle around the player ^^
Haha, thanks for the offer ^^ If I have trouble making any sprites I'll contact you btw, posted a pic of the weapon selection design on twitter ^^ http://twitpic.com/potse
