Read so many reviews of this game about how it's a letdown and sucks, and how NFS Shift 1 was better. no wonder they are giving it away free.

From what I understand Sim Medieval is free all around. Shift 2 iphone and ipad versions for US and Shift 1 iphone and ipad for the rest of the world.
Why do you people always forget Canada? Why?! Anyways, I wish that I hadn't bought Shift 2, because I didn't really end up enjoying it that much. I'm excited to see what the next Daily Deals will be...
For all of you without an US or Canada iTunes account: It's very easy to create one, have a look at Apples support document: Creating an iTunes App Store account without a credit card (multi-language), choose USA as country in iTunes. You just need a fictive name and mail address, a valid email address (other than your normal Apple ID) and no credit card number (only for free apps, no In App Purchases possible). Later you can switch back to your old account. When there are updates of the app change again to your U.S. account.
Thanks, yeah I do have a US itunes account, but kinda thought it would go free on australian appstore as well since the sims medieval also went free here. But just downloaded it from the US appstore. Glad I got it for free as I absolutely hate the first NFS Shit so at least I can give it another chance. Still feel that Undercover is the best NFS for iPhone, great look & feel.
Yeah, it's kind of a pain being unable to log in - considering they state you get extra tracks and more ingame money if you login, and also you can't get rid of the origin popups!
Impressed that this is a freebie! I normally don't like 'realistic' racing games but this one is pretty fun (and not all that sim-like). Can't wait to see what else goes free this month! I'm not going to spend another dime this month )
