I really like it but here some improvement and suggestion to the game because im enjoying it, I will be short ok.
    Add Achievements
Add particles and algaes for depth and to help localize in environment
frame of reference to improve the sense of movement and speed
When I jump out of water there is no splash
Add environments with day and night
-new fish like medusa which you should avoid for not getting electrified or dangerous squids anything that exist man that could be very fun and would add value to gameplay.

The second is on my active list right now - some type of specks that stay put to give you more entropy.

Splash is also in the works.

All of these are very good - hopefully to come soon.

What achievements do you have in mind ?

How does friendly AI sound? Another dolphin/orca that would mirror your movements and would hunt with you.

It would just be a duplicate in a sense!

Even though I also disagree with the score TA does bring up the issue with the camera being too close. I think bringing the perspective a little further out would make this game a lot better. A lot of the time the AI goes off the screen for a while and I have no clue on whats going on. Also, it would be great to have some kind of button customization for the placement or layout. I personally like having sectors rather than buttons since it would make it easier to press it when you're not looking.

Edit. I think some kind of semi dynamic camera the keeps you and the AI in the frame 97% the time would improve everything so much.

I insist on my question a few pages back: is it feasible to implement an option to choose between the current controls and a more traditional joystick one? This might help please all. And don't forget about camera zoom ;)

Preparing an answer - testing a few ideas.

Camera we have a couple of solutions actually derived from the medical version which i may port into.

It will be very great if it could be in a 3d instead of 2d perspective.

    3 dof control

I think he means to say we give you all axes (3 degrees of freedom) of control. Right now the controller is x and y, and the AI calculates z. On the PC - it actually has all 3 degrees of freedom by using the right mouse button and moving the mouse (left M button is same as finger swipe (L R U D), right M button and swipe is moving in and out of the screen).

I actually have it encoded to do 2 finger swipes in and out of the screen on the iPad- which would give you completely control (its disabled in the game).

Its worth a try as a beta to see how it feels. To be honest I thought it would be too tricky for people. Its possible more control could be better.

Bottom line is it needs to be tested.

let us try this!!! If anything, i want to see how i do JUST with the two axis control, with this 3rd dimension AI set to manual.

I have said so, and i will say it again : if this game had 2 axis movement in a 2 axis environment and enemy placement, with those 3d animations it would all be much simpler and much more responsive while still being as beautiful (think Hungry Shark Evolution with Amazing Animations)

But since you cannot, or will not, take the 3rd dimension and it's AI away, i want to try to see how i do without it. Luring the enemy fish out of their 3rd dimension, and trying to snag them only with 2d controls, when they line up behind the dolphin in 2-d.

Edit: The other solution would be, as the above poster said, to make it a fully 3d enviroment also, and incorporate dual stick controls, one for the xy axis, and one for the z axis - much like controlling a model plane or a model submarine.

Well you're really going to dig the top-down (slighly skew) shark controlled game. That was actually our original game idea - but we had to shift to the dolphin because we needed to work on it for the patients and that takes priority :)

    ah ok - my misinterpretation.

I'm going to push a lot of stuff out soon - mostly test ideas but in the formed of a pretty polished final product.

Excited to see what you guys like and don't like.

I'm sure by this point i will dig this game and any further you make. Because even if it's not perfect, you take the user opinions and try to work on them. Also because from what i've seen so far, you have the fonts to make the best animal simulator on ios!

If we (we as in you the devs and us your testers / users) manage to nail down the control / environment issues, you can have the base, and change research to a different animal, and make a whole series of awesomeness!

It's not a bad game, but it lacks good controls. Too many directions and no real way to turn the dolphin with accuracy. Plus no real way of knowing where you should turn to go toward the enemy. It was fun but the controls make it more difficult and frustrating than it should be. It'll always be a handicap match; you verse the Sharks and the controls.

I tried it out. Looks cute! But I had a really hard time maneuvering my dolphin around.

    controller redone

The controller is overhauled. The update was submitted to Apple today. Simon and Zoey have much smaller unlock times, and now 8 bolts per pearl. Dolphin speeds are much faster. Many battles can be won through maneuverability alone now.

For those who sent us UDID, you can try the new game:

minus unforeseen problems official update should be out in standard 7-12 days.

My God.. the dolphin now tracks the enemies like a homing missile! Unbelievable! I started from the beginning to see how it plays. Granted, i am experienced in this game, but now the dolphin responds to the swipes by actually tracking the fish in that direction, and performing twirls and twists when the enemy fish is too close. Amazing!
