no worries, i hope you like it. Though i am in no way affiliated with the game, i post here regularly because i consider this game an experience - similar to monument valley and wayward souls- that every gamer should experience. it does get frustrating in the beginning until you grasp the controls. And at some points later on - like the random fishes at the red cards i mentioned previously. But for the magic moment that everything clicks, it's more than worth it! Big + to the continued support and updates from the devs, making this game better and better every time!
Can I suggest an endless mode with the freedom to choose from either Bandit, Simon or Zoey? It would be great because I really feel like playing as Zoey the Orca sometime.. quite badly In the endless mode, there would be a wide array of enemies from mullets to sharks but not all would attack at once. Only after you finish an enemy would the game allow you to fight the subsequent enemy.
That's a fantastic idea! It's an endless version of the game. Actually that's a new game entirely. thank u - that's brilliant! (You made me get up and start coding)
I thought: high score = incentive = more replay value Or, I thought if you were planning to add more dolphins/whales that players could play as, you could have pearls as the currency of which players must play to earn... and with those pearls unlock certain whales (like my beloved orca, Zoey!). Thanks for taking my advice into consideration!
I think thats the way to go - there needs to be a store with pearls. I'm convinced to make bolts unlimited - and to have pearls as the reward for the jump game so then you can buy other things. I truly want to keep this IAP free - too, so only pearls as currency and you have to earn them in the game.
yeap, pearls to buy different animals / skins/ cosmetic stuff i also miss playing as zoey, she was my favorite!
will you allow players to play as sharks too? I understand players stay on the Dolphin side but it would be fresh to have the ability to be evil
Yes - thats definitely doable. Probably 3 days of coding to get the jumping right but I think that could come in a matter of a few weeks.
Their speeds and dynamics are different during play - so there will be subconscious adjustments you make.
PROMOS - post if you grab E4JYR43HNTEW 3YNNTM6A6AT9 4HKWJNJ9N7FR N4FWR74YAJLA Please post if you grab this and impressions later. If they're all taken, post on the thread that they are and I will PM you a code. Thank you!
I'm really very impressed with my experience thus far. Getting a handle on the controls does take a bit of time, especially given that you must consider screen depth. There were several times in my early attempts where I thought I was in great position to nab a fish, only to discover that my dolphin was too far into the foreground. Perseverance has revealed an enjoyable, challenging app. I even spent a good deal of time playing it with my 4-year-old. He swiped to control the dolphin and I managed the boost and tail bolt buttons. We had a great time! I also agree with the unlimited tail bolts. Felt pointless to not convert all available pearls to bolts right away and tedious to force us to tap, tap, tap in order to do so. Endless mode sounds like fun. I see a ton of potential for this game. Thanks again and kudos to the dev team!
Thank you! May I ask what card have you gotten to ? I did the same thing with my nephews and niece - their eyes just light up when Bandit goes out of the water or he eats a fish. My son was irritated for the first few battles - then couldn't put it down once he got the hang of it. Some people get that "connection" instantly - others day a few days. Its a tuning question I think - I think the 2 dogfish and the 2 redfish (blue card) are a bit too hard - I need to ease them up a bit.
Together, we got to salmon X1, runner x2, but he did replay the bull card over and over because he really enjoyed that one a lot.
Hah, no, im stuck at the 2 dogfish 2 hammerhead red card still. I cant seem to manage it, half the time i try the bolt and turn, bandit tracks the random fish and not the shark. Its bad enough to separate one shark from the other 3 so bandit can track only him, but separating him also from the random fish seems really hard. I swear i ate like 3 random fish in that stage before getting killed.
That is THE hardest battle in the game. Harder than Kthulu. You need Simon - and even with him it's a challenge.

tried with simon, his stuns do last longer, but still he is unable to track the right shark. The dogfishes and the hammerheads stand there stunned 1 whole second, and simon turns toward a random fish - or doesn't turn at all sometimes, following a fish in front of him. I think i will wait until you take random fishes out, or make them non-interactable/trackable.
