^Shucks,,, the code was already redeemed.. Very cool that this dev is so generous though and willing to help people figure out the game!
Wow, thank you so much!! Im really excited to try this, and will definitely be posting impressions soon. Best of luck with this game, I will do my best to spread the word!
Argh, code taken Are you thinking on making a lite version or similar? It would be a great way for people to try out. Something like a 1-level demo or something like that. EDIT: code NN9TPY39X64W redeemed, thanks! I'll post impressions and an App Store review later (several hours later because now I'm off to work), but thanks for giving out the code.
Played for a few rounds,, but it seems like the screen auto orientation is not working properly? Thanks
Weekend Sale .99 We are doing a very special promotion, starting today, and through Sunday. Shark Eaters will be .99 (from 2.99)
I hope you get a lot of sales. The game is great. I got to play a few more levels and it feels great. The only thing I'm missing is the game being more self explanatory, for example: - two counters show two fish which will unlock (I imagine) automatically in 24 and 48h respectively. I spent 5 minutes trying to find IAPs to unlock them - In the levels you get more or less stars according to your performance. The spaces for missing stars aren't darkened out. Since I got 1 star in the 1st level, 2 in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd and 4 in the 4th, I thought it was a progression. I got kicked out of my progression when I got 1 star in the 5th level. - Pearls are achieved by playing. When I played the first time, I didn't know if the Pearls shown on the level label were the price to play the level or the prize for winning. - Levels are not numbered. I when rightwards and they were all locked. I went so much that I had to continue until I passed approx. 50 levels to get to the level I had last unlocked. It woulf have been great to see 54, 53,... to know I was going backwards (maybe others see it obvious and I'm too tired today). Take this as constructive critic. The game is absolutely fantastic. My child loves fish and I'm sure he'll love the game. The only reason I haven't shown the game to him yet is because he'd monopolize my phone for hours if he sees how marvellously made this game is
i hope you get sales and more people to know this game. I paid full price when it came out and never regretted it once.
These are excellent suggestions. I'm going to add the Level numbers - and I think that's spot on. I agree in principle with the others - and have to find simple ways to convey precisely what you were confused with. I'm very happy you are enjoying the experience. As you get better, it will get even more fun and intuitive. Thank you for the very valuable feedback!
Always seeing this in the thread feed, so I've started looking into this. I think I posted in here very early in the thread on its release night, and the sale has goaded me back in. First thing I noticed right off the bat is wow those are some silky animations! Pretty blown away by what was shown in the release trailer. So what exactly is the game? Is it a sort of Goat Sinulator with dolphins? Do you select a level to play? Do you enter the ocean and then are given missions dynamically?
JCho, you are given a card which contains the enemy fish you have to be eat, your "mission" if you will. then you are into the ocean, and try to eat the fish. The thing is, those fish attack you also. so it's more like an ocean battler, eat or be eaten. for example one card might be a "boss fight" you versus 1 shark, others might be you versus a swarm of smaller fish - but don't think of them as cute, each and every one of the little bastards is a reincarnated pirhana attacking with ferocity! the animations that you see, i can say from experience, are only the half of it. The other one is the magical instant when you manage to do the exact controls, cooperating with the AI, to make a perfect dodge, twist and catch. It's almost impossible to explain it with words, but when it happens, you know it
JCho if you were watching the first video in the op, that video is outdated. It looks a little different from that in its current form.
animation little better too here is a vid of new animation (repost) Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
