The snes version was brilliant, and i like this, but i'm not sure it surpases it. The game play here is very much x-com,....er with different texts which is a shame, to be honest. ...but as i have said before i'm waiting for fallout on ios
Shadowrun I still play the SNES version. One of my best SNES games ever! I actually only buy devices that I can modify to play that one game. Only reason I bought a JXD S7300. It feels like playing on a Nintendo Wii. I enjoyed the PC version and it will be nice to have this one when I am bored at the photocopier or in staff meetings. The books were also fun to read back in the day.
Any ipad2 owners tried it? I'd like to know if it runs well and is smooth.. otherwise I'll get the PC version.
74 minutes!! I haven't been this excited in a while. Even though I love Xcom, there's just something about the shadowrun universe that excites me so much. Ugh, 73!
Well, the game is good so far. Played around 4 areas and it is pretty well done. Having frequent crashing issues when going to new areas though but that's not too much of a problem as it saves when you switch areas. Slightly more problematic are the less frequent crashes in the middle of the area as you can't save so a crash means you have to restart and lose the area progress you made. I'm running it on an iPad mini with iOS 7 and restarted the iPad before playing, in fairness Most games are crashing as much as this since iOS 7 came out so it will probably be patched. Edit: There is indeed no music during the game as mentioned before, (or ambient sounds for that matter), there are only footstep noises and clicks when selecting options in conversations etc.
So far this is more or less killing for me the Game to be honest. The missing Music is more or less destroying the hole mood for me.
Yeah it is a little off putting, I don't think that this version of the game is really quite ready yet, probably as the iOS version has changed since it was submitted. Fingers crossed for a speedy patch though
I personally think its only meant for a specific audience who like reading books and dialogue. To me the game seems incomplete lacking sounds, music and some voice overs. Also the save game issue. Who wants to replay the same scene over and over? I want to play, save and move on. Or continue from my last save except you can't save because its a checkpoint game. I might skip on this one.
