Because Shadowgun was single player, no physics (this has full ragdoll), and has slightly inferior models. These maps are much bigger than shadowgun's too. I would look at upgrading, my friend.
How about turn off the physics and downgrade the models for the 4th Gen? Wouldn't that do the trick? And about upgrading, $299 is a bit hard to come by when you're 14.
Would running a server to handle voice chats and to run an online game constantly be free? Madfinger isnt Gameloft that people buy their games right away for a premium price and have the revenue pay for the servers to run a few years. A lot of the smaller companies cannot live on having a premium price. Madfinger also has to find ways to stay afloat.
I not the developer so I really can't answer that, but multiplayer games are generally more taxing than singelplayer ones because the maps are so huge and the device has to load the entire thing. It boils down to a RAM issue, sorry. Can't really help you. Both of you, look for a job this summer, and this winter be sure a shovel driveways for money, rake leaves, etc. There are plenty of ways to make money when you're young, and sitting around wondering why you on that've money is unusually what you have none in the first place. Take some initiative!
There has to be a level cap, and im sure anyone who wants to be competitive will max out all the weapons. Nobody will be at a disadvantage at that point. Even in LOL, you get access to more runes, summoner spells and masteries the more you level up, but when everyone's at max, everything balances out. I've been playing League of Legends for over a year now and I havent even bought every champion yet. Just trying to point out that this isnt an issue on a different game with a similar pay-model, but is always an issue when it comes to iOS games. I dont think Madfinger will get the desired number of players to be playing online. And because of that, they wont be able to run the servers constantly without it becoming too costly. Gameloft has an easier time doing that, because they can host multiple online games on their servers. Also, we cant ignore the fact that some [EDIT: MOST] people see gameloft and think it's always a quality title and just buys the premium titles. Then, lately Gameloft's been showing that freemium may be a better model for their not so proven titles to earn revenue.
You can't buy weaponry with real money; only skins. They won't; it takes 512MB of RAM, and they're not changing it. 2 and a half stars from whiny little children who can't read a description. I have. I did just for the profit; the voice chat either doesn't work or sounds like garbage. Oh my god dude, the IAP is minimal. You pay for a small bonus in profits, or for cosmetic skins (as in THEY DO NOTHING).
Yes, and I'm absolutely for Madfinger making money, and I do support them and buy their games. In the case of Dead Trigger, I bought 8 bucks worth the iAP, to support the devs ( even though the iAP wasn't necessary) My only beef with this game, ( isn't the game itself because it rocks) is the fact that in order to have the premium account, you have to keep subscribing which I do believe is overpriced. You would have to spend over 40 dollars to have a premium account for one year and as nice as this game is, it's not worth 40 bucks for a year.... I have no problem buying a few iAP's but there's no way I will be subscribing for a premium account. Madfinger should look into charging a one time fee.
I'm getting worked up over people complaining about a free game. I can't believe how arrogant some people can be. I'm 16, I worked, I bought my phone. If money is an issue to these kids, fine; see me as an example of what a little work can get you.
Dude....I would count paying for a recurring subscription for a premium account, a substantial iAP grab, c'mon who do Madfinger think they are X box live??
I'm not gonna go out of my way to save up for something I don't need. My iPod works fine, but most developers, like Madfinger, don't seem to realize that. Regardless, it was really derpy of them to not optimize for the iPod touch 4. Not only because some people who played and enjoyed the first Shadowgun won't be able to do the same with this one, but they also decided to barely mention the fact that it doesn't run on 4th Gen's in the app description. Now, anyone who downloads the game with a 4th Gen is jumping to conclusions and giving it a one-star review. And that's a lot, appearently.
game is a blast tho ,when its working! might even say that its better than the king Spoiler archetype Playing on iPhone 4S (medium settings)
Hmm This one seems to have a lot of potential, but it has been too laggy for me to play on my iphone 4 latest ios. Has anyone else had troubles on the iphone 4 with it?
