So I'm on this level too, and Ive killed everything, "Sarah" got the elevator fixed, but the button in the elevator will not activate. I've played the level 4 times now. Anyone run into this? Am I missing something or have I fallen victim to a bug?
I remember having to hit the elevator button over and over for quite a while there as well. I was about to go insane since I had died 15 times before finally getting there just to find a bug. It should work though. Keep clicking it in every possible way. It should work eventually.
I thought I re-posted about this... anyway, thanks for replying backtothis. I was actually just about to give up on it and unload all of my ammo at a wall in frustration (before deleting the game) I actually turned (back to the switch) to do just that hit the fire button and the switch activated. Go figure.
Good stuff. Yeah, that level was a complete mess. The other levels should all play out just fine though.
I cant believe this game had to drop to 99 cents to stay relevant in the appstore. Whenever people say why dont developers support and make more hardcore games, I will link them to this game and thread. This is probaly the biggest steal in the iphone game market to date. Madfinger deserves mega-props for making such an excellent game.
I agree, that's why activision or Treyarch doesn't make any more COD zombie games because they probably don't think it's worth their time to spend a lot of money making new maps and then people won't spend the money on it. It's almost like some people ( not all ) want amazing multiplayer games on iOS with no bugs, and achievements for .99 cents, not a penny more, lol.
Exactly, you see it all the time people moaning that games are a 'whopping' $1.99 or more. I dont mind paying out a few dollars more when the game is quality, too many people seem to wait a few weeks or months just for the game to drop by a dollar or two. I want to persuade/convince companies they should carry on creating iOS games so i'm happy buying games on day 1, the way i think is the more they sell and more money they make they'll want to come back and keep making more and more iOS games. For the sake of a dollar or two i'm happy buying them on release day
Agreed... my view on this has pretty much gone from "wait til a game is on sale" to "buy a game when it comes out to show developers that they can make money, hopefully resulting in them making more premium games for the iOS" - not to say that I don't take advantage of a sale if one comes around... but I've been spending a lot more $$ on iOS games lately, and am very happy about it. My iPod is now full of top notch premium games that I'm actually spending time with, playing all the way through, instead of a bunch of $0.99 - $1.99 games that are pretty much glorified flash games I never finish. =oP
To be fair i'm older (30 something gamer) and i can buy really any games i want. Back in the 80's i had to save up pocket money and get one game every few weeks. So i'm sure some people here cant spend tons of money on games every week BUT these prices app store games are at, i'm still stunned months later that games arent $15 each and are simply a few dollars, stunned how cheap iOS gaming is but its working as Nintendo and others are losing out to Apple and iOS gaming But yep Shadowgun is a great game, one of my favourites the last few months
Yeah game needs more modes, levels, multiplayer, etc to stay competitive. As of right now it's a pretty action game with linear levels , bland 3rd person shooting, and a campaign that's over way too soon. Game is ok but needs alot more to stay competitive and be considered great. Multiplayer, if done well, will be a HUGE help in that regard.
=oP I've got 3 kids, all in their teens... so I get that the AppStore is a place where older gamers can go and find cheap games, maybe get back into gaming after not being able to for so long (was my case anyway...) - and yes, I probably do spend more than I should on games... but having more a mixture of premium and cheap games would be great. I'm not saying I want an appstore ONLY filled with premium games... but seeing more of them would be fantastic. And the only way I can see that happening is if we keep supporting developers of premium games... Yes, it's sad that Shadowgun has gone down to $0.99... but they didn't HAVE to. I really think that developers that drop the prices of their premium games down to a buck only further the thoughts of "I'm not going to buy this until it goes on sale, because it will" - I think it's great when developers give a price, and keep it there. Cave and a couple of other companies have done a great job with this... granted, they were already fairly big before they got into iOS development... but... seeing developers stick to their prices is great.... and something I hope to see more of also. **and I'm getting WAY off topic... sorry... If you haven't got it yet... Shadowgun for a buck is a great deal... just as good as Dead Space for a buck IMO... will be even better when the multiplayer rolls around...
I have a mixture of both premium games, like Shadowgun, Mc3, Dead Space and also 1 dollar games which can also be very entertaining. Games likes Zombieville USA 2, and Zombie Gunship are excellent games and are worth more than a buck. I definately support the indie devs and will pay full price, but I'm not apposed to paying the sale price either. ( who wouldn't ) I think the problem is that some iOS gamers are expecting to much now for a cheap price. When COD zombies came out I paid 10.00 bucks for Nacht der untoten and then 5 bucks a piece for Shi no numa and Verruckt. Now the app is 5 bucks for all four maps including Der Riese.
What iOS game has better 3rd person action? I see so much hate directed towards this game yet I can't find one single example of a shooter working better in the 3rd person on the system. Sure the game play may be too basic for you, but if a shooter nails the "shooting" mechanics I'm not sure what else you are looking for. Personally I had a decent amount of fun for what this game is, a game on my phone.
I prefer Dead Space to Shadowgun... but mainly because of the extra modes... that and I'm a HUGE DS fan... I'm not saying that Shadowgun is bad by any means at all... but I was hoping for more action. EPOCH, IMO, has the perfect amount of action for a "cover based" shooter... Dead Space didn't need more action because it wasn't called for. It's more a creepy survival shooter... but Shadowgun, being a cover-based shooter... I was hoping for more to the waves of enemies. Like others, I'm hoping that the multiplayer sort of fills in that gap of missing excitement that will make the game feel fully rounded.
It's odd, because for me, Epoch, while nice, doesn't really move me as much as Shadowgun, and it's not even in the same league as DS. To me it would be: DS>SG>E. I think that SG is pretty underrated.
yeah, I know everyone has their own tastes... me - DS>E>SG... but the extra gameplay modes in DS, IMO, have more action than most of Shadowgun, and are done extremely well. But Shadowgun goes right up there in the top 3rd person shooters on the iOS. Actually... besides DS and SG, there's not one other 3rd person shooter I've kept on my device for longer than a week or so... **edit** wait, what were we talking about? =oP
I feel like once you get everything there's is to buy in Dead Space, there's not much to do and it gets boring >_> That's why I ended up deleting it. If it had multiplayer then.... mmmmmm.
yeah, but that's the case with most games... Like I said though... I'm a HUGE DS fanatic, which is why it's still extremely entertaining for me. =oP
