NZ release is postponed.. When we released Samurai II, warez version was out sooner then people in Australia could buy it.. And we sold only one copy in NZ that day.. So warez guys have to wait also now
Just to clarify: I removed reviewboy's original comments because they were pointless trolling (as anyone can see from MadFinger's reply). For future reference, the way to get attention in TA is to write something worth reading -- regardless of whether you love or hate the game under discussion.
Ah, didn't even think about the "warez" part of this...I suppose that's a pretty good idea, lots of people are waiting for this and might not have the patience to wait a little longer... Hope the game sells well ! Anyways, i should be able to get it tonight at 12 (in france here), right ? You guys are doing a presentation at Unite 11, and i'm just curious: will the material be available eventually for those not able to attend ? Rendering Techniques and Optimization Challenges seems very interesting Oh, I didn't realize you became a moderator, that's pretty cool, always brought something interesting to threads (or maybe you were a mod all along, just didn't notice...)
But for someone with 5 posts, new to the forum, to say that a dev team isn't responsive, when they haven't been around to experience how responsive the dev team really is with all their previous games, really seems like they're just here to start crap... Just my opinion... Not saying it's worth more than anyone else's, but I've had very good experiences with madfinger in their previous game threads. They've responded quickly and reasonably to all gamers issues and questions...
@MADFINGERGames So, this'll be out in 14 hours? Either way I'm still going to get it. Just getting a little too excited. lol I'm thinking it'll be $6.99.
Now I'm not going to defend 'reviewerboy' as what he did was pure troll, but i've been checking this forum for 2/3 years very actively and have less than 100 posts to my name. I can easily tell when a dev is responsive or not (and Madfinger are) by just reading twitter, the thread, or using the search function. Sanuku was right when he said that the number of posts does not matter. Mobile gaming becoming more and more popular is a great thing, but it obviously attracts all sorts of crowds to the forums...Trolls, however, are easy to spot. I'm getting tired of refreshing youtube hoping to find a recent Shadowgun hand-on video... isn't the NDA off ?
so wait, is Shadowgun releasing everywhere at the same time or what? (sorry I didn#t read the last 4 pages in detail, they are kind of confusing)
Confusing indeed Apparently they just delayed NZ release in order to try and accomplish just that (and reduce piracy as it seems to be a factor), that's why it's not showing up
So, it'll be out in Australia in 2 hours? Or will it be the worldwide release for everyone at 12 AM EST?
Madfinger - I love your games. Here's my advice: When Shadowgun releases, don't listen to the people who complain about price. They weren't going to buy it anyway and expect everything for some super, unrealistic, thrifty price. Those "I would buy this if it were 6.99 or less, Gameloft price Now you lose my money" cheapskates bug me. Madfinger you're not Gameloft. You can't afford to devalue a gem. All is well. Charge what it's worth. I filled my iTunes with some dough in anticipation of Shadowgun.
Exactly. If you don't like the price then do with what you would if it were a shelf title... wait for the price to drop!
We are not doing price drops often.. Samurai II was on sale only once As somebody said, it will be available for everybody at 12am EST...
The truth is that shadowgun merits every cents of the estabilshed price, this is what i thought after i saw it for the first time.
I think that people should stop complain about the price. They want a high quality game with superb production value, yet they bitch and moan about the price? How can the developer afford to create an AAA game for the iOS if they sell their game for 0.99cent? This idea is insane and this is why we don't see many hardcore games on the iOS. Back to topic, looking forward to purchase this game as soon as it come out.
I can't believe anyone would expect a game like this for 4.99. It's definately worth 10 bucks and I have no problem paying for it. When you think about it, you could either spend $ 50.00 on a console game. Or spend 50 on Warmgun, shadowgun, Desert zombie, Mc3, the Dark Meadow, Battlefield 3, etc... I think I'll choose the iOS games.
No Love for New Zealand this Time The Game should get released in Germany at 05:00 tomorrow - ergo I am staying Home (00:00;28.09.11 EST ~ 05:00; 28.09.11 GMT ) and having a Launchparty for Shadowgun
