Same. If I had a choice of which one to get and I couldnt get both, I would probably choose Warm Gun. It's basically because I like FPS better than TPS, I like running around more than being tactical and I would rather have Multiplayer than singleplayer. Plus, Warm Gun looks more "exciting" to me. That's just MY opinion though.
To be honest, Warm Gun first. I've always been about online multiplayer, and Warm Gun looks like it'll be pretty sick, probably surpassing MC2 in quality even. FPS > TPS anyways. Lol, I'm getting everything as soon as they come out though. Shadowgun, Warm Gun, Mage Gauntlet, MC3, Dark Meadow, Junk Jack, Commander Pixman, Jelly Defence, and so on..
Yeah, well there is Warm Gun (4.99, deathmatch online and offline w/ bots) and Warm Gun: Carnival of Bullets (Free, Singleplayer, progress through an amusement park by completing the various games ie. shoot targets, find and destroy dummies, etc.)
Warm Gun provides a much better multiplayer experience than MC2. Maps are pretty complex and nades aren't cheap.
Isn't it amazing that 1) most folks will be able to afford to pick up all those games as soon as they come out, and 2) only one of those games is made by Gameloft (and none by EA). Things are changing...
Yeah the first wave of people who got pissed off at Gameloft's lack of updates and decided to pursue game development on their own is finally arriving. ...yeah I guess we can just stick with 'times are changing'.
Frankly, I'm not dissing either Gameloft or EA. But it's great that other, independent developers are stepping it up in the ambition department.
Exactly. Take warm gun for example. Also Madfinger is taking a giant leap going from Samurai 2 to Shadowgun.
Ahh its amazing how fast things are changing. I mean I'm playing apps on a phone that are better than some console games. Haha
Yes. That is only a matter of opinion, but I know what you mean. In terms of fun factor, many iOS games surpass console games.
Thursday releases, you can expect on a Wedsnesday. Here's how it works: Timezones. When it's Thursday in NZ it's Wednesday elsewhere. So a game that releases on this Thursday, will be available Weds. At 8pm here in California. Technically, I believe part of the reason they're "Thursday" releases, has to do with Apple technically updating the AppStore storefront on Thursdays.
I know, the only games I'm interested with Gameloft is Modern Combat and Order and Chaos. I'm looking forward to see some hardcore games made by developers besides GL and EA.
Can you point out some that are better than console games? Because currently, they are no iOS games that provide me that sort of entertainment than console games, frankly because iOS is not meant to be a console. Not trying to make a flame war out of this, just giving my opinion.
There are some crappy console games but there are many iOS crappy games, face it people, the iOS is far from becoming an established console, touch controls simply don't do,their own company does'nt put any emphasis to gaming, now if you'll excuse me i am going to play GTA 4 on my Xbox 360,you play gangstar...........in your hands!
My iPod is my main gaming console... Right now... I'd have to say that; Gyro13 Deathsmiles ESPGaluda II DoDonPachi Resurrection Mushihimesama Bug Panic Anomaly Warzone Earth Chaos Rings Starfront Collision Asphalt 6 Perfect Cell Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing City Of Secrets Star Battalion And a few more have provided iOS gamers with console like, if not better than console, experiences... Though I should say that Im finding loads of xbox360 and ps3 games EXTREEMLY generic... And aside from the graphics, they really don't have much to offer in terms of gameplay. Just my opinion, like you, not trying to start a flame war or anything... But with iPad 2 and when the 5th gen is released, I expect we'll be seeing even more console quality games, not only in gameplay, but graphics as well.
For what it's worth, 1112 Part 3 gave me one of the best and most involved gaming experiences -- on any platform -- of the last year. I would rank it well above the last open world game I played, Mafia 2, which was nicely produced crap. What console fanboys (which is what I would call someone who needs to start an argument whenever anyone suggests that an iOS game could be on par with any console game) need to understand is that not everyone measures enjoyment in production budgets and frames per second. Anyway, end of digression. Let's stay on topic, shall we?
