I played a little today for the first time in awhile. (Since Lynx pissed me off. Lol) Although I didn't beat Lynx, after the update, he is a lot easier to fight. He stopped chucking shurikens at you as much and now throws a smoke bomb down and disappears which is still a pain, but a LOT easier to defend him. I guess it's time to get nasty on this game again. Lol. I still highly reccomend. NOEN
Anyone still playing this game? I just got into it and have only beaten 2 of Lynx bodyguards. What are some techniques I should know to play this game well? I feel like I'm almost always randomly inputting a bunch of combos.
Yeah, gamecenter achievements do not work currently. Please fix. Amazing game otherwise! (Free to play elements aren't bad enough to complain about).
The F2P mechanics here are completely tolerable. In fact, they're almost negligible if you don't factor in the dual currency grind. For a fighting game whose primary appeal is the "feel" of the melee, I'd say a grind is almost appropriate in this genre. As with all touch control fighting games, hitting exactly where you want, especially diagonals and such, on the v-pad can be challenging so know what you're getting yourself into with iphone fighting games.
Can anyone explain blocking? I'm not sure exactly how to do it...but I do... Edit: This game is so rigged...the enemies can just chain kill us, but they get 3 seconds of invincibility every time they fall down...ugh... Edit:Oscar, yes it does. After beating Lynx you unlock throwables and a bunch more items. You also recieve a one time reward of three gems and can buy more gold for the same price. As far as I know thats it.
I keep crashing when I get to the 2nd enemie in the game. This is probably due to my ancient 3GS. Just wondering if you plan to fix that.
Well, held up to the standard for fighting games on iOS... This Fails. Its a bit slow and the fights are kinda random. It seems more interested in moola than being a good game. Oh well.
There should be no head hits, no shock, and no critical hits in a game such as this... Im pretty convinced (and a lot of other people on the app store) that the game is rigged. These things allow the "rigging" of the game, where when youre losing, sometimes the computer can take down literally 90% of your health in one hit. I have a screenshot of the opponent landing one heavy hit in the first 3 seconds and taking down 90% of my health lol. Why is head hit even a thing? you cant target the head in this game. When you do hit the head, its random and you definitely werent aiming for it (you were just aiming for the guy in general) If you remove head hits, shock hits, and critical hits the game would be much better. Its mainly head and critical thats the problem, but shock would seem out of place without those. Maybe if the person loses their weapon (shock) when somebody does 6 combos on them. As of now the games rigged as hell. The fights need consistency. Each attack does a certain amount of damage, no critical or head hit bonuses. The computer also needs to have the same downsides, or you get the same advantages. They get more invincibility frames, and can also block much faster after they move dodge or attack. EDIT: Literally a minute after i typed this, i just died from one of the bodyguards doing a 3 hit combo on "normal" difficulty
Don't keep your thumb on the joystick. Don't press any buttons and character automatically blocks any attacks except projectiles and body throws. The idea is to wait for the opponent to get close enough and commits a form of attack (besides throws). Once the opponent attacks, your block will commence. When the opponent has not fully finish the movement of the attack, your attack should come into contact with the opponent. It is all about understand the attack pattern path and reach of each weapon so you can reach timely with the correct attack movement. to dodge projectiles you need to know a few things: 1. When opponent steps back far away (more than 5 length of character), anticipate a projectile attack 2. When you see (or feel) the opponent is about to move (MOVE!!), quickly press (down) + (kick) + (kick) SIMULTANEOUSLY (meaning non of your fingers are touching the screen before that) 3. What happens next is predictable.. You dodged the attack.. (and you are closer to the opponent so get ready to press down kick kick again because he is going to attack you) I'm at trail of blood chapter (beaten lynx and hermit) I tie with insane level (losing 1 out of every 2 games) My favourite weapon is chinese sabers (you will know why very soon). I use it for medium to long reach attacks. When opponenet is close to me, i use kick and down kick kick to move myself and opponenet for a medium reach attack. fun game guys, dont give up so soon. and good luck!
yes you can target the head. i do it alot of times. i reached aggresive style usually (if opponent doesn't die so fast, usually in hard to insane mode) shock happens when you or opponent loses life too much (example 50%) in a short period of time. An example of this happens when: 1. you get your head hit my a hard level opponent 2. you hit the head of an easy level opponent 3. continuosly getting hit to make alot of damage in a short period of time i personally don't like to fight the opponent when they are shocked. their armed combats have faster movements and it's hard to anticipate. the level of difficulty reflex the amount of damage a hit does. easy level opponent don't deal as much damage as normal or even higher level difficulty. the movement and reflexes remains. wished i can take a video on my ipad to show you guys
