Don't know if it's been discussed already, but Soul Seeker heals me for 4 instead of 3 when I kill an enemy ally. Not that I am complaining... but it should do what the text says :D

Edit: Also, to add to the ever growing list of bugs, I happen to come across the "Contacting Server. Please Wait..." banner a lot, and not that that is the problem, it's that is sometimes doesn't go away lol. It stays even when I start playing a game or something. Kind of annoying at that point considering that it blocks the view of some cards. I can play around it panning the camera around, but yeah. Thought I should bring that up.

People are waiting for the Orions sequel which has supposedly been submitted. Why play this when you can play another similar type of game with all the cards included? That and the massive database issues a few days ago and the bugs with the new cards have probably suggested to more than a few that it's time to wait on a new version to patch it.

I've given up on SE for the time being. Version 1.24 contains way too many bugs and other issues so I'm going to wait for the next update in the hope that most, if not all, of the problems will be fixed. I'm certainly not putting anymore money into the game until we see a stable release. Even the developer admitted (on the SE forums) that he rushed the update and didn't test it.

I am in the same boat as you. I really enjoy the game, but I get disconnected from games way to often for it to be fun anymore. I will wait an update or two and try again. Luckily there are a ton of other great games I can play until then.

I noticed this too. I have an iPhone 4 that really heats up with playing SE. And I have SE on my Core i7 MacBook Pro and it not only heats up the machine more than just about anything else, but it causes a HUGE performance hit, making even simple things like changing between spaces very sluggish. The moment the SE application is closed, system responsiveness returns to normal (so at least it appears to properly release resources when the app closes).

Any yeah, while I'm a bit disappointed by the bugs and such in 1.24, SE is still a great game and still the only TRUE CCG on the app store. I know the kind of pressure Kyle was under to get the update out the door. The forums were practically becoming a lynch mob clamoring for the update. The pressure clearly got to him and the update got rushed.

Essentially what I see a need for here is the following:
    1. Kyle - try to give your update estimates a bit of a buffer. I know people don't like to hear it's going to be 2-4 weeks before an update is submitted, but the negative reactions to a buggier update are worse than to a well tested if slow to be released update.

    2. People need to be a little more patient. SE is very new and it's bringing a type of game no one else has accomplished to date to iOS. Kyle is a proven, respected developer of mobile apps and has been for YEARS, decades even. So you can trust that he will get bugs addressed, especially if we ease up on the guy a bit and let him do what he does best, CODE SE updates and bug-fixes!

    3. I might suggest a defined release schedule, say 1 update per month. Develop the update for 2 weeks, test for a week, address issues for a couple days, test again. Rinse, repeat until ready to submit. That way players know what to expect and when and it might ease some of the pressure.

    4. Better communication with the player-base. With 500k user accounts, there are a ton of people looking for info and new posts rarely appear in the official SE Updates forum. Take advantage of that forum to keep the players posted on update progress as you work through it. In my experience COMMUNICATION goes a very long way to appeasing people who are experiencing problems/bugs. As long as you're communicating that you are aware of issues and how you're addressing them, you'll encounter significantly less player backlash.

Just trying to be helpful :)

I agree with Quorlan, I really love playing this game and would love to still play a year from now, so if Kyle needs to slow things down a bit, then that's fine.

The support for older devices was basically completely pointless. It's so laggy on iPhone 3G it's unplayable, it takes like 2-3 taps for anything to register. Yes I restarted by device.
And what's the difference between the offline mode and the world map offline matches?

Has anyone noticed that Baduuru is broken. Using him against Victor Heartstriker so the ability should be the same +1 for ranged weapons. I attach a Soul Seeker and attack. No damage done and the game will not proceed at all. Not sure if anyone is using Baduuru, but it would cost you the game if playing online.

I sort of disagree. I think updates should be divided in bug fix updates and content updates. If you still have major bugs then fix those before releasing new content and potentially new bugs. I remember Kyle saying the bugs were fixed a few days after launch, but since he decided to add weapons and armor on top the patch obviously took a lot longer.

Right now Kyle should be thinking about fixing the bugs first and foremost, then he can add all the multiplayer goodness on the next update.

All in all, bugs and all, at least the game is playable now and lots of fun. Before it wasn't if you wanted to play Elemental or win not using Eladwen.

I tend to agree that 1.24 is a bit too massive and rushed, stand-alone clients, new cards, adjusted mechanisms and so on, all out at the same time. I think some bugs reported are too obvious to be missed when more careful tests had been done in the first place.

I would say for now, iron out the bugs first. After that, give us a more polished deck management and human duel features. I cannot speak for all of your clients but I can wait.

    Thats... Not true at all.

It's a great game, closer to WoW TCG than Magic, but it has nothing to do with Magic at all.

    Hey Kyle,

How about an update on the status of the bug fix update? We all obviously want you to take enough time to make sure it is a quality update but it would be nice to know what stage you are in. Still loving the game and will love it even more when the bug fix update drops!

Funny, someone asked the same the same thing pretty much around the same time, on the SE forum. Anyways, Kyle's reply:
@skeerup Currently, there's a bug with Night Prowler, where, if its ability is activated and the opponent doesn't have a card in hand, the game hangs. Hanging problems have also been reported for Gravedigger's Cloak but I'm not sure what the cause is at the moment.

@November's Chopin At the moment, Offline Mode is only for practice and mock deck building. Wins are not rewarded in Offline Mode since you're not connected to the server; so no gold or XP from anything done in Offline Mode.

So, are there a lot of issues that make this not worth getting into?
