I haven't had much problem with that. One additional thing I'd love to see is for the opponent's rating to be in parens next to the name, i.e, "Fishkiller (312)." Yeah, it's nitpicking but just another thing I'd like to see. I'm hoping to see Kyle post more stats about users, such as how many actually play online out of the 300 thou who are users. I'm guessing that maybe as few as 10% play online and maybe only 15% actually buy crystals. If so, the game generates nowhere near the kind of income some believe it does, but I would still qualify it as a huge success. And it's been what, only a month?!
Not sure if this has already been talked about, but I'd love it if an update would arrive which would allow us to play this game offline, when fighting the AI. If that were in place, I would have played this maybe 20X more often.
Wow. Pardon me for my seemingly out-of-place post above. Haven't really visited this thread in a long long time. Reading back on recent posts, I was surprised to know a lot of crazy stuff has been going on here. LOL. What the hell.
I'll be posting some stats once the update hits... And yes, the next version does have an offline mode.
Oh yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about! Good one. I can finally have more time to play this, with the offline mode.
No. Offline mode is for practice only, at least in the pending update. No experience, no gold. Just a way to play/test decks while offline.
Thought so. Well I don't really bother cause I like online games better; but I think many will be disappointed just playing for nothing.
Ugh. You just cannot have it all. If you are offline, SE has no idea if you won or lost or even played, so what would be the point of awarding you stuff? How do they keep track? You want them to program more code to poll your saved status or something? good grief, it's just not worth it for the developer. There is also ZERO impetus for those who play primarily offline to invest as much as a buck for new stuff. Get over it. You cannot possibly have it all. If folks are "disappointed" because of this, too bad. I have spent only $5 and have already had at least $20 worth of entertainment. I estimate 85%-90% of players have spent ZERO, thus Kyle has done those people a fantastic favor, something for nothing. That's pretty decent. Thanks, Kyle. Great product.
Just to say I've played all my games offline, never played one game online. I paid 9.99 usd and bought packs and boosters Then Bought/sold singles from the merchant. Winning crystals and gold from playing against AI players. I am now level 6 and still having a great time playing the AI. I too am just as stoked as everybody else and will splash 10 dollars immediately To get 1300 more crystals. I hope I am still able to play offline games against the AI In the future and am looking forward to collecting as many cards as I Have for MTG. Fingers crossed for the update soon.
I think you're mistaking offline with online vs. AI. At this time, ALL games are online but you can either play vs. AI or humans. The new version you will be able to play totally offline and not have to worry about data charges if you're on 3G. That's why offline is needed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Yes you're right I play online against AI players. Sorry folks I was assuming online meant against humans. Anway amn624 I hope to spend plenty on new decks and cards in the future even for AI play. I think it would be good if Kyle could release campaigns with new themes as in MTG planeswalkers. A story mode would be good for single players. (I also think it would be great if the cards could actually be released as real printed cards, I love holding the real cards...but thats getting a bit off topic)
Kyle, how about helding a tournament, and the winner receive a card that he/she wants? that'll be EPIC!!!!
