Here's a thought. Why not just FIND where Kyle posts updates (aka both on the Touch Arcade forum and the SE forum) and then KEEP GOING BACK THERE FOR MORE UPDATES. Obviously you were competent enough to find it the first time so you could complain. I mean seriously, is everyone too lazy to look in more than one place? Let's grow up a little bit rather than go on a mutinous rampage against Kyle for not giving an update every time he goes to the bathroom. Here is a thought...maybe...just maybe....there isn't anything to update! He is waiting for Apple just like the rest of us and I personally don't care about the absolute minute details if it is time he can devote to actually answering gamers questions and working on the second and third updates.
OK, yeah, the Kyle-bashing or threats of "leaving the game" if he doesn't cross-post between TA and the SE forums are ridiculous. Good grief. I understand it would be ideal if folks could find everything they want to know in one place, but the fact remains, there are a LOT of ppl on these forums who I've never seen on the official SE forums. To my mind, Kyle is just making sure there are multiple avenues of information dissemination, as any good marketer should. The fact that sometimes this info appears here before it does on SE just means Kyle is responding to a request for info here that hasn't appeared over there yet. As far as I can tell, all truly relevant info about the game, updates, card status and whatnot is available in both places, it's just better organized on the SE forums, whereas here, this one thread is a total free-for-all and if you don't read it every day you can easily get lost.
I agree and i just mean that some people had never heard of touch arcade. Some people don't know what's in the update because it wasn't clearly posted for new players, and Kyle wouldn't have to answer all the questions like "is rouge coming out?" which is all over the forums because there is no list in the changelogs or news sectons. Im not bashing it was just a suggestion...
I don't actually see what is so difficult in the dev keeping a thread in the announcement forum of the SE forurms where he updates with new posts of relevant information. Like, when everyone in the SE forum was like "is Kyle dead because we never get card updates?" it would've been nice to know that everything was still fine and that he had just decided to withhold more information until the update was released. Otherwise, he's just giving the impression that he never follows up on his word, so it would've been nicer if he would've made a quick post to say "the update will come any day now, so I've decided to withhold further card reveals!" As for the guy who said that people should just hunt around for the tid bits of relevant information ourselves. Why? Some of us have jobs here, some of us actually go to school, so when we continually express great interest in this promising game, why should we be expected to waste our time? Why shouldn't the customer feel he is being catered to? Fact is, this game depends on this update. I haven't played a single game in a while. I haven't played more than a couple games in a long, loong time. Hopefully the balance issues are worked out soon or this game is going to get old fast.
Evasive reply #28: pretending you've done something already when you are actually evading the fact that you haven't.
(popcorns/peanuts grabbed) It is fun to see how this mini-drama gets rolling on while 200,000+ other people are waiting at the same time. I have crystals to gather with many other games to care for but my play time is limited. I will jump back once the update is good. Keep up the good "show"!
I ranted then erased. Bugger all. Thanks to that guy who saw I had glitches and quit to give me the deserved win
Good lord man, get a life. The game will be ready when it's ready. Some of you act like you can't survive because the game isn't updated. Maybe check into an addiction clinic if you're that hard up. Let's see...there's about a thousand other games you could be playing?? Hello? I've been playing more now than ever, still enjoying it, and you should be thankful that the dev posts here at all. I'm simply amazed he even responds to some of this inanity.
Second the nomination. I've actually been playing more lately, and against humans, now that I'm a little more confident with my deck building skills. I'm actually afraid the update may do more harm than good but whatever, gotta roll with it. So far, so good. Actually, so far, so great. Thumbs up, Kyle.
Maybe in terms of balance, but the part I really can't wait for is the bug fixing. It should make the game playable online again.
