No, I am thinking of stalemate, because there is no Zugzwang in Shadow Era since players can in fact pass on their turn and do nothing...

As for Supernova, it clearly is cast in the middle of the battlefield and so hits both heroes at the same time :p

No, it does harm you... but it kills the enemy FIRST, thus giving you the win. Your hero still dies, but you've already won, so it doesn't matter. I assume you drop the nuke directly on the enemies head, which is why he is killed first, then his allies, then your allies, and finally yourself since you are the furthest away from the point of impact.

Also, is there no concept of interrupts/instant cast spells that we can use to react to spells the enemy casts?

This has been talked about many, many times in these and the official SE forums (at www.shadowera.com). There are NO interrupts in SE BY DESIGN. You can never do anything on your opponents turn (there is a semi-exception with regard to Traps because they are triggered by your opponent's actions on their turn). This was an early design decision to speed up online play. The alternative is to have to confirm every single action your opponent takes on their turn which can get quite tedious and monotonous, not to mention it would drag games out quite a bit. As it is, PvP play is much slower than PvC play due to the time it takes humans to make decisions.

An example of how slow things could be with counter cards, is in the M:tG Plainswalker game for the Xbox 360. There is a little counter with every card you play and you have the chance to pause it to play a card if you want, or if you don't want to let the timer continue. This is annoying as shit, as it seems when I played it that anytime I wanted to play a card to counter something, I missed the timer, and anytime I didn't want to, I had perfect time to do something. It's annoying as hell. SE does go a lot faster because of the lack of counter cards (I don't really count traps), but if there were some, it would add a lot to strategy, but it is not necessary. I like things just the way they are.

i think game needs counters of some sort. maybe like this, you play a counter on your turn anticipating what your opponent might do. say you play a card that says cancel the next damage spell your opponent casts and this card lasts for X turns and gets played face down. so when your opponent plays a damage card in the X amount of turns, it activates the counter card and both are sent to graveyard. sounds good to me and probably only me haha

Dude.... so I was f*cking playing some guy with a Darkclaw solo deck that took f*cking forever, and it was finally getting down to the nitty gritty he had 11 health, and I had no cards left in my deck, but was still at 25 health, I had nothing but direct damage in my hand and 12 resources (had 2 fireballs and and one lightning strike, just enough to take him out in one turn) and when it was my turn I just f*cking lost. Didn't do a god damn thing, didn't close out or forfiet, didn't take too much time to play any cards, didnt do anything and I just lost... with 25 health (soon to be 23 since there was a bazaar out and I had no cards in my deck). What a waste of f*cking time. Done with this game till the next update. Yeah, I am a sore loser when I lose for no reason.

Does a Unique Card mean I can only have one per deck or I can have more than one in the deck, but can only have one unique at a time on the field?

Lost connections will occur from time to time. It's the nature of the beast and it is inevitable. There should be no penalty involved for a busted connection.

Quick question... How is it gonna work with Erika shadowhunter? There is a warrior ability that allows you to make an ally a protector. Thus, if u use that with Erika, then only direct damage, so mages, would be able to attack at all. Am I correct? And if I am I'm surprised it hasn't been exploited yet

    Questions:
    - what is the order or sequence of allies put into graveyard? Random or? Important for me who play graveborn and i have 2 allies on board and died to lightning strike for example. I want to know which will be on top of my graveyard

    - related to someone who asked previously, what happen if erika casted protector spell onto herself n aeon is on board too. Does it mean opp allies cant attack at all cos back to back ability?

@phattestfatty Yup, only direct damage or abilities would take down Erika at that point. The combo was discussed long, long ago. All of the classes have ways to deal with it, even Wulven--albeit, rather weakly.

@aoisora For cases where a single ability or spell kills multiple targets, the targets go into the graveyard from left to right. Example, you play Fire Snake, next turn it's Infernal Gargoyle, opponent Supernovas, Fire Snake goes into the graveyard, then Infernal Gargoyle. Regarding two allies with protector, when your opponent attacks, he'll only have the option to pick between the two for attacking; your allies and hero will remain unattackable until all protectors are annihilated.

For a multi-damage spell with targets, the graveyard order is the same as the order that targets are picked (last target would be on top of graveyard). For spells that just target every ally, then it is the order in which the allies appear on the board.

If you use Warrior Training (make ally a protector) with Erika Shadowhunter (cannot be attacked), then your enemy cannot attack anything, and is a good combo to try to use. Of course, "attack" means launch combat by pressing the Attack button, so you can still target her with direct damage spells. If Aeon Stormcaller (protector) is thrown into the mix, the enemy then can attack Aeon because with multiple protectors they can attack any protector they choose.
