NP Dude. Like I said it has always worked for me. My mage deck is all based around board control, and has hardly failed me yet, even against anti-Eladwin decks. I know he is a BS hero to use and that's fine, and his nerf will hardly effect me at all. I will still use him as my main and figure out what to work in with weapons and such. I will just have to can some cards and reformat my deck. That's my favourite part of TCG's is re-evaluating cards, and forming the most perfect deck through deck testing. Yeah like I said, I keep it at 40 for control decks. Anything else, less cards are more useful.
So armor will absorb x amount of damage for about x turn (depend on durability number)? So if durability = 6, then it will absorb 6 damage for 6 turns? It will really armor + aeon = GG... Add portal then u know where the concede button is. How can shadow mages answer to this threat?
As long as you have board control, it only prolongs their inevitable demise. Get several little guys out there and chip away at the armour till it's gone. It won't last 6 turns, if you have 3 allies out and you attack with all 3 for 2 turns, the armour is gone then. It's a good armour card, but they can't even attack or defend with that 6/6 armour.
Interesting on the Darkclaw ability being changed, I didn't think it was that broken. In the SE forums someone showed (with pictures) the proper way to beat Darkclaw with an Eladwen deck. It wasn't so much him being too strong, but people using the wrong approach to beat him. This still doesn't fix the stalemate issue though. The issue was posted on the SE forums. Even if they take damage from what big teeth they'll just heal it back next turn, so the game can last forever and the first to disconnect will lose. Also is not that rare seeing people holding on to 7 cards to stall decking strategies. You don't have to be at the end of the game to benefit, gaining many extra turns in mid game. Also with hero weapons and armor it becomes much easier to survive with no other cards in play, keeping you 7 card hand intact. Also this is the perfect antidote against the consistency of 30 card decks. If decking is made stronger then more people will start running 40-50 card decks (which is good for variety, but shouldn't be made mandatory). If you still want the consistency and use the draw power of a 30 card deck with bazaars and bad santas you have to take the risk of facing being decked. @GodSon Don't worry, I won't get offended if you disagree with me, I hope it will be the same with you. What I'm saying is what I experienced. I started playing the AI in order to get a feel for the game and until I could get a decent deck. Once I had something that was beating every AI opponent pretty much on auto pilot I thought I had a strong deck I could take online I clean up with. After winning the first few matches and increasing in rank I started playing better people, until the first deck I built was getting regularly destroyed by more experienced opponents. It's only logical really. The AI decks themselves aren't that good and the AI makes a LOT of mistakes that human opponents don't. So I stand by what I said, any reasonable deck can consistently win against the AI, but not so online. If you want to remain playing against the AI, that's your choice and I respect it. Just be aware that there's a whole other level of play out there and even with the glitches and aggravation from quitters, there are some great games to be had online. Hopefully with the update, it'll be even better.
It's not like heroes can attack or defend now anyway (except wulven). Remember this is for Elementals as well, an Energy Discharge solves all those problems. I wonder if the armor also protects from that damage, it would make it quite useful actually.
Not at all and likewise. I understand/know all of what your saying from my own experience and respect it. All in all, I'm just one of the minorities that enjoy playing solo for many reasons. I stand by them as well.
Hmm I hope there are more AI opponents in the next update. A bit tired of fighting the same 5 guys. PVP games are s-l-o-w; even if they give double XP/Gold I find they're often 3-4x longer than normal games, if they even start at all.
Yeah I hope they do too, but I don't really care about an offline mode without reward really. I mostly play online now too unless I do a major deck edit overhaul and then I play the computer a couple times to get comfy then go and take on some human players. But yeah the speed of online games are drastically slower than playing with AI. I play speedy myself just cause I know my deck so well but yeah I dunno.
The Darkclaw vs Darkclaw stalemate is fixed, since attacking with What Big Teeth will still do 1 damage (0.5 dmg rounded up is 1) Plus Wulven get to use some weapons and armor too. What? Wulven with weapons?? Yes, they are like Worgen from WoW, but I came up with the idea before Worgen was a class in WoW
But they regain 2 health every turn with Lone Wolf so it still doesn't matter. Stalemates are exclusive to wulven now, but who's to say other stalemates won't come up with the new cards. The easiest way IMO to fix them all would be to make drawing mandatory.
Well, I wanted to avoid a discard phase because it would be too confusing for new players with the current sacrifice phase... So the design was to enforce the hand limit at all times. If you are at a stalemate with 7 cards in your hand, already no cards left in your deck, both Wulven have Lone Wolf and no allies in play... Isn't it still better to use up the cards in your hand? What exactly is in your hand at that point that you would rather do nothing?
Name: The King's Pride Classes: Warrior, Priest Casting Cost: 7 Defense: 2 (reduces all damage by 2) Durability: 5 (destroyed after 5 uses) Effect: Ongoing: Your allies gain +2 attack and +1 health. Flavor: "Of lions and legends." Thanks to everyone for all the great suggestions, and congratulations to AnAdolt for the winning entry! The next one to be revealed will be a weapon...
Humm, stupid question: so no matter how much damage inflicted on the wearer, this armor will never wear down? It just goes to graveyard after 5 uses.
It doesn't matter about the damage, just after 5 hits. So you can still wear it down after 5 attacks with a Fire Snake and it will be destroyed.
