Posted my deck http://www.shadowera.com/blog.php And I took 5 minutes to do 2 offers for some shadow crystals. Did SuperRewards and the Bing one. Still waiting for Bing to credit but I got 234 crystals now (and I know Kyle made madddddd profit from those offers you deserve it tho so it's fine.)
@Frip Hmm, I need to go find one of my posts for this. Regarding no rating change after you won a match, basically, rating gain or lost is scaled based on your rating and that of your opponent's. The FAQ does provide a bit more information on how rating is calculated. @crazygambit Regarding Shadow Crystal offers, please read this post.
I was about to ask the same thing. I got my zaladar poisoned / flamed n i couldnt use his ability. After the game, i checked the poison n flame card. Nothing mentioned it block my hero ability though.. Bug??
Just a warning for anyone going for the 'survey's to get free crystals. I just tried this, spent quite a bit of time on it, and answered a lot of questions. After it was all over, DID NOT QUALIFY. If you really need them, just buy them. I would NOT give out all your personal info to UNKNOWN websites. Some of the free offers are just ridiculous. 15 crystals to put up an INTEL pop up on your facebook page? You've got to be kidding. I really like the game, but this is desperation here. It looks 'free and easy' but it ain't. Kyle, points to you for making some profit on including this, but it may bite you in the ass later. Just leave the 'paypal' option. I was actually going to put some money in, but after this experience with a bs survey, it does tend to leave a bad taste. Do you really want these sites associated with your hard work?
@aoisora In short, that's a possible cause of the bug and the bug happens very intermittently. So far, the players haven't been able to narrow down the cause. More details here. Yeah, I'll also join Shatner's hairpiece in advising caution with the SuperRewards offers for Shadow Crystals. Some of these offers come at the price of great lost to privacy as they gain your personal information in return and use it for marketing purposes. Some are pretty harmless though, like simply downloading a program. Which reminds me, I should to add this to that post of mine.
One of my twitter followers found my game, and he told me he can see the opponent's hand. This needs to be fixed, Kyle. People WILL abuse this.
[Turn 1] Player 1: Sacrifice = 1 Resource Player 2: Sacrifice = 1 Resource [Turn 2] Player 1: Sacrifice = 2 Resources Player 2: Sacrifice = 2 Resources [Turn 3] Player 1: Sacrifice + "There be Monsters" = 3 Resources Player 2: Sacrifice = 2 Resources [Turn 4] Player 1: Sacrifice + "There be Monsters" = 4 Resources Player 2: Sacrifice = 2 Resources [Turn 5] Player 1: Sacrifice + "There be Monsters" = 5 Resources Player 2: Sacrifice = 2 Resources [Turn 6] Player 1: Sacrifice + "There be Monsters" = 6 Resources Player 2: Sacrifice = 2 Resources After 6 turns, player 1 has 6 resources while player 2 has mere 2. Talk about luck and that player 2 happens to be me...
unique will deal with situation, the card stays powerfull as it should be probably, but it won't win games just by spamming it. of course maybe you will change the minimum size of the deck later, like Wizards have done, that would solve a lot of possible balance issues with cards.
Shadow Era reaches 200,000 players In less than a week since the iPhone launch, Shadow Era has blown past the 200,000 player mark. We're very happy with the reception both the players and the press have given us, and more great things are in store for the first massive update, set to be submitted this week. "Shadow Era is a deep CCG that's easy to pick up, but nearly impossible to put down" - Slide To Play "Shadow Era is a game that you won't want to miss out on" - No DPad "A collectable card game that makes you feel like you're back at school, playing against your buddies during lunch" - Gizmodo "The presentation and complexity of the game is absolutely stunning" - AppSpy "Shadow Era proves that digital CCG's can be just as much fun as their real world counterparts" - Gamezebo And now for some quick statistics! * On average, more than 3,000 players are online at once * There have been more than 120,000 multiplayer games, now with new games started every 4 seconds * Of the 100 top-rated players, 64% use Eladwen Frostmire decks, while 23% use Zaladar decks * For completed games, players who had the first turn have won 50.5% of the time
The chance of drawing 4 specific cards out of 30 by turn 6 (11 cards drawn for the first player) is about 1% HYPGEOMDIST(0, 11, 4, 30) = 0.141434 HYPGEOMDIST(1, 11, 4, 30) = 0.388944 HYPGEOMDIST(2, 11, 4, 30) = 0.343186 HYPGEOMDIST(3, 11, 4, 30) = 0.114395 HYPGEOMDIST(4, 11, 4, 30) = 0.012042 Lucky, indeed...
Well Kyle's stats now prove it is the favoured hero, i've actually switched to a Majiya shadow mage deck cause I rarely see it, (and like the art ) and have had success against Frostmire, Nishaven, and Zaladar decks. Card advantage ftw! Except one epic online game I had, where I got my opponent down to 5 health, then ran out of cards with only a portal in hand! Basically had to just sit and wait to be killed! Thanks for the stats Kyle, that 50% first turn win is a great stat for all those rage quitters who leave a game if they don't get first turn... gratz on the 200,000 players!
I think I must have said that about 100 times by now. It's NOT a huge advantage to go first and with my current deck it's downright better to go second in *most* games. Q
so basically in the case of Eladwen vs Zaladar, and in mirrors it does not matter who is on the play? there is some advantage anyway, maybe not huge but still the tempo is important for many decks. Statistic is not full now, because it does not count matches were people quit the game.
