I've just played exactly 10 matches. 8 of those were against the exact same Frostmire deck we're all tired of seeing. I can't wait for the Frostmire nerf. Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. No one plays anything else.
Most of what you have said is true. The last sentence is especially important, because even if a person has 6 or 7 resources they will not be able to cast Aeon Stormcaller or other powerful cards if they get resource damage. Currently I like relying on buffs and creatures that complement each other (Pack Wolf, Bloodlust) or creatures that stand well on their own (Plasma Behemoth, Gargoyle).
Well, for playing the plain vanilla deck for a bit of time, I begin to acquire the taste of hating Shadow decks -- 2 resources for a 1/4 ally which takes at least 2 of your (plain) human ally to deal with and Plasma Behemoth is among the worst ally to face -- costs 5 (cannot be disposed by Boris Skullcrusher), 3/5 (iirc) and addition 4 plasma damages...
Kyle! One of my twitter followers managed to find me on the lobby and watch my game. It was really cool to be able to talk about the game with a buddy in real time, so, would it be possible to make it so it's easier to have someone find you and watch your games...?
Honestly, Eladwen and Nishaven work pretty well against Shadow decks, especially the latter. 4 damage to all creatures on the board + use of arcane spell = wipe the board. Nishaven + a couple of creatures + max damage spells is a great combo.
I'm sure this has been answered, but this is a massive thread. Can you play online over 3G or does it have to be wifi?
Oh man I hate Eladwen decks as well now. Every time I get rushed by Blake + Aldon, because I play Here Be Monsters on turn 3 to prevent a Sandra Trueblade on turn 4... well and if I don't play Here Be Monsters, well.. go figure.
This is one of the features planned for the big multiplayer update in about two weeks, along with chat, different game types, search for games, password on game, etc. Unfortunately only so many hours in a day...
Play against the AI until you have enough Shadow Crystals to buy a Wulven deck. Then you'll see it won't be that hard winning.
haha I don't have problems winning (my rating is 380 with Gravebone.) I just don't like how popular the Aldon + Blake combo has become, because it really messes with my deck. Shadow really needs a better 2 cost ally, since Brutalis doesn't do the job at all. Also Aeon Stormcaller is blown way out of proportions as of now with 8 health. Or in short: humans have all the good cards (ok Belladonna, Plasma Behemoth, Infernal Gargoyle, and Here Be Monsters are great as well ;D But Humans just have more great cards overall, but that's been discussed before)
Thanks. I have yet to put $$$ to build-my-own-deck but I think, regarding the Bad Santa, cutting 1-2 off and replace it with healing card may help against ongoing effects.
That's a good idea. I've considered getting a Rain Delay or two in there, for those moments where you're behind in the arms race and the opponent already have enough guys on his board to eliminate any Snakes/Sparks right after you cast them.
Well here's my deck: Gravebone Allies: 4x Plasma Behemoth 4x Belladonna 3x Infernal Gargoyle 2x Bad Wolf 2x Fire Snake 2x Brutalis (<- = ) Abilities/Items 4x Fireball 4x Here Be Monsters 3x Portal 2x Lightning Strike Rating: 386 lol also haven't spent any money yet.. waiting for new cards.
Why don't you write a blog about it on the Shadow Era website and explain how it works, like I just did? It'd serve as a great reference tool for the noobies who are coming into the game every day
I will, except I don't feel like it right now ;D. Also I'll wait until the new update is out. Then I'll write it up nicely and add some strategy on how to play. //I just won a match and my rating didn't change at all ._.
So since I was getting sync issues with my Elementalis deck after using Eternal Renewal I switched to a weenie Zaladar. No sync issues anymore, but when I go first and people take 18 damage by the third turn, with death to follow, they almost invariably quit. Which gets me the nice, this game was to short to grant experience message. Twice in a row from the same guy once. So yeah, I'm very happy to hear that. Also as of right now going second is pretty much a death sentence. I win almost 100% when I go first against Eladwen decks and lose about 80% of the time when I go second. There needs to be some balance to that. I suggested in the SE forums to offer 1 time mulligan to the first player at the cost of going second. If first player doesn't take it, second player can get a mulligan for free. I still think it's not enough to compensate the HUGE disadvantage of going second.
