Sorry to say, Izzy, I believe this means YOUR end lost it's connection to the game. From everything I've read here and elsewhere, when your opponent disconnects you get a notice after a minute or so, but if you lose connection there's no good indicator. This should be addressed in the update that includes a connection status indicator of some kind.
And yet people clamor for multiplayer ... and it always ends up being the same old list of complaints. Every time. Bleh. I'll never understand it.
K so I've leveled up 4 times and I have 100 crystals.. What should I buy? Another starter or a booster? (I have the eladwen starter) Also how do you get aldon? and how come research isn't available at the merchant anymore? so many questions 8)
@November's Chopin Right, players wanting instant gratification and don't want to grind, for about $1 per pack, they can just buy card packs. There are currently no "luxury" cards only obtainable through card packs. @Frip Currently, since starters give more value, it's recommended you buy starters only. Human class starters slightly edge over Shadow class starters in value. However, there are a bunch of cards that are out of stock from the merchant so if you want those, you may land it in a booster, rather than waiting for the merchant to restock. If a card is not shown in the merchant, such as Aldon the Brave or Research, it's because it's currently out of stock. For more information, please read the FAQ.
Online is messed up. Just had a game where i was clearly winning, had no hero damage at all and then a 'defeat' message pops up lowering my rating.
Are you sure you didn't think your turn was over, but you never actually ended it and the game kicked you for inactivity? I've seen several people I've been playing seemingly finish their turn and then do nothing for several minutes most likely because they think its my turn.
Not really sure what the hype is. Gave it three hrs of play and while fun the game is busted. Portal? Really? Mages were already the clear win class but that seals the deal as a choiceless game. Can you beat the portal game? Yes. But only if it gets a bad first run. Not fun to play against and doubt its fun to play. Some people simply must win though. Also add a time limit on phases for the love of.... Great presentation, very smooth base mechanic, but terrible balance and online matching. Maybe it will improve over time. Not going to bother spending money until (if) it does.
why so many people are angry about other people quitting? only problem is when people quit in the first few turns, when they see they are on the draw or draw is not very good. In other cases it's ok. Good players can see when they are loosing and have no outs, so why they should sit there and wait until you will do enough dmg to win? dont forget that many people play on iphone, so any call can interrupt the game. Simple solution - concede button, which will decrease rating less, than simple quitting, and give a little bit of XP. that will make every rating ho happy.
@AnAdolt Thanks for this.. I had a feeling I was being a noob! Makes total sense now. I was wondering about this too, how about some kind of 'foil' cards or something cool like that, y'know something to chase and also give a bit of bragging rights to your deck? Would make opening packs more exciting and enticing I think. I know certain players would chase full sets of say foil fireballs for example. I'm not sure if this feature exists, but on the deck viewer, how about the card flipping into portrait when you flip your device so you can see the card in full size? I find it hard to read the flavour text sometimes and it would be cool to see the full art. Also, how about an undo button for the sacrifice step? So many times i've been so excited to draw exactly the card I need that I accidentally sacrifice it in haste when obviously I forgot I was in the sacrifice stage and wanted to cast it. tl;dr: Suggestions: How about foil cards, portrait view cards in deck viewer, and undo in sacrifice phase?
What's funny is that Portal is one of the oldest cards in the game, but before multiplayer most people were saying it was useless. Now it is too powerful and will be nerfed in the next release to have a turn limit. Mages aren't really the best class, just a popular one because they are easy to play. I know some of the top players do not use the all-too-common Eladwen deck. If you are getting frustrated in multiplayer, then build a deck to counter it, that's what the game is about.
Offtopic: I wrote you a PM here in TA and SE forums, I'm going to suppose you simply didnt reply to it because you are very busy, but you can still count on me if you need help translating the game or with beta testing. Ontopic: I would like to say that Im not happy with the nerf of Portal card, because right now it is just to soon to balance cards without all cards released. I even won some matches again Eladwen and Portal decks with my Zaladar deck.
maybe instead of nerfing Portal, just put in in the restricted list? so, once per deck allowed. because every new addition of the cards gonna change the metagame (i think it should be your intention too ), so Portal can loose its power, than you can just remove the card from restricted list - so no need to nerf it. if i understand properly, because there were not any comments from devs, you are not going to change how Sandra works (maybe make in unique, restricted, nerf attack or mana cost)? i have played many games, were opp or me was on the play and casted 3-4 Sandras in the row, that's very powerful.
cheater or there are some problems with the server? playing game vs Coso, his hand is empty at some point, than next turn - and he draws 3 cards.
hmm its either u also play mage deck or create deck specifucally to beat them. I play majiya n so far can win matches against eladwen decks. Im building a deck purposely to beat mage deck. Still testing it though. In my opinion, its ok to have a deck which is good to beat a deck but not good againts others especially if the deck to beat dominates the environment. Say 80% of deck is mage decks. Ur deck is purposely to win over them. Basically 80% of match u facing, will still comfort u.
