about update. The change of the mage ability won't make any difference. mage decks are powerful with Nishavan too. They have just much better cards than other classes. I have tested a lot with wulven deck and the main problem are Sandras, Researches and Portals, not heroes.
deck should be at least 30 cards, u play 4 Sandras, so the probability to draw them and play in a row is quite high. and no skills required. Research is excellent card draw in this format, only available to mages. Portal just makes all their cards burn spells, so all removal just suck if portal is out there.

the Rain Delay is ok card, new changes made this card just meh.

People keep saying interrupts would slow the game down and that's partially true, but MTG online works fine with them, and you would only need to verify each stage if you had a card or effect that applied to the opponents action although that might indicate to the opponent you are holding an interrupt of some sort even if you didn't use it.

MtG online does work fine with interrupts. But MtG online games last 30-45 minutes each. That's a much longer attention span than most iOS gamers typically give to a game and would turn off a large portion of the potential audience. And you would have to stop EVERY time for that very reason - you'd giveaway hints as to what the opponent is holding by only stopping to inquire about an interrupt if they had a valid one in hand. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I used to pine for interrupts in SE, but if you adapt your thinking about deck construction to the fact that they don't exist, whole new kinds of strategies begin to emerge and become viable.

Question: Are IAP card packs purchasable with cash only, or also in-game currency? More importantly are all cards obtainable by in-game currency, or are some cards cash only?

Interupts wouldn't work in SE. They just wouldn't. The game is fine without them.

Anyone starting to think Portal is a little unballanced, too? What are good item destruction spells?

is something with server today? sync issues, game just disconnects and says u was defeated without any reason.

    @Quorlan
you sound like if u were developer of SE. only Kyle knows, there are no interrupts because of length of the match or because it would be much harder to keep the balance of the game.

Actually Kyle commented on this fact in an interview, I think with PocketGamer. He outright said that Interrupts would contradict one of Shadow Era's stated goals of being a quick to pick up and play game. I certainly didn't mean to "sound like I am the developer", I'm just a HUGE HUGE fan :)

    touche.

    @Kyle
it's minor issue, but how it's possible to have on the battlefield, for example, several Jasmines? it should be unique, like Aldon? :D

I just had an amazing duel with 'Moonstalker' AI. I've played about 30 games so far, and this one really showed the potential of the game. It was down to the wire, card by card, until both of us had none left to draw. I thought I had him, he was at 8 health, I was at 28. My last three allies all got trapped by wolves, he kept hiding, and I kept picking off his allies with my human hero but not fast enough to prevent him from winning.

Sometimes the games are over very quickly depending on your draw, but I love the ones that go all the way through the deck. That was the first one that used every card.

Is it normal that Moonstalker would be at 9 health and then when he goes into hiding, his health shows 28? Is that a feature of 'hiding'? I've also noticed he would play some cards and they would be back side up, and I could not read them even though they were presented to me (large size). Is this part of the 'shadow' feature for some items? None of this is explained anywhere.

I would send one of these 'hidden items' to the graveyard, where it would then be face up, but when I tried to zoom in on it, it would bring it up 'back side up' again, even though it was already discarded. In the graveyard, where it was face up, it was way too small to read, so I never knew what the card was, or what its effect on me was. This needs to be fixed.

Also, when you play an AI wolf deck, like 'Moonstalker', is that exact deck available for purchase? I'd like to know what is in these 'purchase' decks before I buy one.

I'm playing a control deck, so all my matches are pretty long 15 turns+. The problem is that the chance of getting a sync issue when you're just a few turns away from winning is much higher and it's getting pretty annoying.

I just lost a match I had completely won for no reason. It said "there's a multiplayer sync issue, exit the game" I didn't and I lost a lot of ranking points. Until this is fixed I don't know if I wanna keep playing.

I understand ya. Strange that there is no reconnect mechanism. Rather standard for games of this kind (Urban Rivals has one, for example).

@ProfitOfDoom Regarding Banebow, his ability mentions "up to 2 targets". This denotes you may select a single target twice. Whereas Lightning Strike mentions "2 different targets"; which means the two targets must be different. If you're unfamiliar with the game rules, may I suggest you brush up on them here: http://www.shadowera.com/rules.php

@November's Chopin Card packs currently are only obtainable with Shadow Crystals--which can be gained at every level-up, SuperRewards offers, or bought with money like an IAP. All cards currently implemented are obtainable through in-game currency(gold).

@eev What are you talking about? I want to see MOAR Jasmines on the battlefield. Don't limit her screen-time! Or her a--okay I'll stop there.

@Shatner's hairpiece The bug regarding Moonstalker "flashing" his full life was reported previously. Currently, weapons and abilities go into that Item slot but they were looking at renaming it to something better suited; just nothing has jelled yet. Regarding cards being faced down and not showing itself faced up, were you having this issue agains the AI or in PvP? iOS or web version, when you're running into this? And how many times has this happened? Regarding a Moonstalker deck, Moonstalker is of the Wulven class so you can purchase a Wulven starter pack, which has 32 cards. It'll be randomized, all of Common rarity(except for the 2 heroes), and when you tap on the pack, you'll see the breakdown of the type of cards you'll get.

This is not only a pretty massive update, but it seems to adress a ton of issues I had with Shadow Era, and another boatload of stuff I didn't think of, but am now happy to see implemented :) If I had any doubts about the longevity of Shadow Era (from a personal viewpoint. I had no doubts it would become popular), they have been dis-carded ;)

And I can now fully enjoy Jericho Spellb... uhm, the Jericho Spellbane CARD ;)

I am curious, since I've come across a few other iOS devs doing this: what does requesting an expedited review entail? A case of pleading your case, or is there a monetary aspect to it?

Would there be anyway to add win-loss records in the future? I'd love to know what my overall record is, and my record is with individual decks.

Another issue: I'm getting someone else to try this game out and she signed up, picked a hero. The hero turned out to be useless (human female) because she needed a weapon. Why is this leader even in the game/selectable if she can't be used properly?

Unfortunately, this 'new player' got turned off fairly quickly losing the first game badly with a useless leader card.

Why can't you select another hero within the same account, start your experience over?

So she was forced to sign up again, unable to use her favorite user name, because it was already taken by herself. Is there any way to remove the old account to get that user name back?

You can: http://shadowera.com/support.php, bottom of the page.

As for weapons for the heroes, they will be in the next update. See the changelog as quoted by me a few posts above on this page.

Okay, I've started to play people online, which I was hesitant about. Seems that feeling is justified. Start a game, kill a couple of the other person's allies...they exit the game. Nice! No exp earned. This needs to be fixed. There needs to be a penalty for dropping or exp for the one who stayed in. What bothers me is that the game was barely 3 turns in!

I would much rather be able to play online with friends to avoid this timewasting + nothing gained. Will the update make it possible to find someone in the game lobby and join that game? Would be great if the person could also specify 'private game'.

Where do you see what your user name (visible to the other players) is during an online game or offline game?

If I remove cards from my deck, why don't they show up in the merchant shop for sale?
