What size decks are you guys using? My Majiya deck is reaching 40 cards and I'm trying to bring it back to 35 max. Oh, and I just won a really hard match. My Majiya was at 1 life, the other guy's hero was at 15, but I manage to control the board with 2 Plasma Behemoths (gotta buy a third one...) and turn it around. There hard victories should award you more XP/gold I'm just glad the guy played all the way to the end like a trooper. ALSO: can we all agree GameCenter matchmaking is the most important feature to be added?
i have 3 decks, my elemental deck is 35 cards plus hero, my mage is 40 cards plus hero, and my warrior is 47 cards plus hero.
resolved (thanks to AnAdolt). my next question (sigh). does resetting your account really remove all of your gold, or does it just knock you back down to the default starting point, which was what, 500ish?
@IzzyNobre 30, including hero, for my Zaladar PvP and Zaladar AI deck. I try to make 30 card decks so the comboes land easier and more consistently but decks are about the comboes in them and if you want to play some comboes, the optimal composition for that combo may entail a deck that's higher than 30 cards. @FictionalCharacter You'll lose all your gold but reset with 500G starting, like a new account.
I have 3 decks, a Majiya (the one I'm using more often) which has a lot of board control and Portal with big hitters, an Elemental deck which I haven't used a whole lot, and an Amber Rain deck which was my starter.
thanks. and thanks again for your help and patience. i'm thinking even if the warrior deck isn't necessarily as competitive, i'd probably have more fun with it, and that's the point, right? i get jealous whenever i play the warrior AI.
I just got the weirdest victory. I was well down, ie I was about to lose. I had one ally out while he had three and my hero was on 2 health. I was just waiting for him to end it. And he quit. I wasnt complaining.
Kyle, you have done something remarkable with this game, I'm really in love with it so far and it's hard to come to any conclusion other than this being the best TCG on the app store so far. I haven't read this full thread yet so appologies if this was already mentioned, but I think a lot of the UI buttons should be much bigger in the iPad version. Things like the 'end turn' button and all the cast/attack/sacrifice buttons at the bottom of the screen seem like they are just being shown at iPhone size. IMHO the iPad gives you enough empty space to make these buttons twice as big without losing any usability of the other elements on screen. Making the buttons bigger would make it easier to play at full arms-length (as opposed to face-to-the-screen). Similarly I think you should consider making other parts of hte UI bigger (main menu for example). I've found a lot of Universal games have this problem, so you're not the only one. It's most apparent when a non-universal app gets an ipad version and the result is less usable than the 2X iphone version because of the tininess of the UI elements. I already bought 5$ worth of crystals or whatever to support the game. Thanks for making it free! You've ensured that the game will be popular and that there will always be someone to duel, great work!
How do I change or delete and create a new character? I started off with a mage but I think I want to change it.
http://shadowera.com/support.php at the bottom of the page is an option to reset your account. this will allow you to pick a new starter deck (i too am thinking of switching off of the nishaven deck. probably to boris.). you'll retain your level and experience, but you'll lose all gold you've built up, and presumably any cards you've purchased up to that point (?). you will evidently get the 500 starter gold when you pick your new deck.
They could have a lower starting health, no special ability or abilities that take more rounds to charge.
Kyle, we wo got chosen to originally test the iPod Beta version, when will we get our Shadow crystals?
Do you get more xp or gold for winning a pvp match? Haven't played that many and each time I've won I always end up hitting the ok button before seeing the amount given.
The real quickest way is probably to buy starter decks and sell all the cards back to the merchant. Without spending money, the fastest way is probably to start with whichever deck is the quickest at beating the AI opponents and just grind away. Certainly not the most fun way to play the game but I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there farming gold just that way. I'd be nice if there were a way to trade cards with other players (*hint* *hint*) which was always one of the nice things about real life TCGs. A card auction house would be cool too, but that might not be desirable, depending on the plans for how the merchant will work moving forward. Q
lol this is dumb. I just played myself in a different tab. Imma stick to doing that for awhile to farm money. Took me around 4 mins to earn 200 gold and 50 xp
Why does the game always close on me whenever I try to challenge someone? It closes for offline or online. Help please, I'm using an iPod Touch 2G.
