Kyle, you app wizard. Give us GameCenter matchmaking. PLEASE! Also, I'm featuring Shadow Era on my website today
Kyle, Wanted to add my voice to the chorus saying that this game is awesome. I'm impressed with the quality and care that you've clearly taken in both the game design and the app design. I really hope that this makes you enough dough to keep you working on this, because I can see myself playing this for a very long time. I don't know why Wizards is dragging their feet with MTGO on iOS, but you've filled a void, and done it well. +1 to the request for more music (I love what's there, we just need more!), and +1 to more touch controls on the battlefield! Majiya burn deck FTW!
I think I read you loud and clear...unfortunately, my two decks right now are both Humans (so the lack of Shadow Abilities hasn't been an issue for me)...might have to try something new after this update.
Game Impressions I wish this game has an offline mode. Isn't this game exactly like WoW Tcg? From the card template to the classes?
Ok, loving this game now that I am not trying to take on the obscenely hard AI. Bought a couple decks, (Wulven and Elemental) and a couple booster packs. Doing much better with Zaladar and the elementals than the duel wielding human chick. Any tips on a different, maybe mage deck?
It is alot like WoW TCG but that us a good thing. This game also has it's own features but the rest are similar just as WoWs is similar to MtG
Just got the game. I suck at it so far but I seem to be getting better Im figuring it out. I think I want to change classes from Mage to something else but we'll see. I'll have to read through this thread for tips as soon as I can look at the site from my desktop instead of my phone.
@FictionalCharacter Starter packs, as well as boosters, are randomly generated. When you click/tap on them, it'll show you what types of cards you'll get. Starters only have Commons, aside from the two heroes. Although, in a Shadow Elemental pack I got in the past, it came with 3 Uncommon; might be a bug. @Vovin Regarding card packs, they are randomly generated from the pool of implemented cards. You're able to get cards from packs that may be currently sold out of at the merchant. But there won't be cards that are only booster/starter exclusive; at least for the time being. @Chiller One You're right, being the one to strike first is fairly important in this game but there are cards that turn that around and strategies you can use. The core rules and game is still fairly new so it stumbles a bit but give it time. Even MtG had its issues with the first set. @Kyle I think some people would like having those markings for pricing in the merchant. A few people have suggested it in the Suggestions forum. @Drakeer Melkhor This bug has been reported many times already. I expect it should be fixed in the next update; and if not, the one after for sure. @stlredbird For a condensed version with some tips new players might want to know: http://www.shadowera.com/showthread.php?674-Tips-for-new-iOS-players
Great game by the way! Anyway, not sure if this has been said already, but I think there should be a prompt before exiting a game. In the middle of a game, I just thought of exploring the menu. I went ahead and visited the merchant. Somehiw I already kinda felt that it was bad move. True enough it was. I was not able to get back to my current game. Once I got back to the world map, I had to start again from the beginning.
i'm still unable to log in on the website because it says i'm giving the incorrect password, which i'm not. do i have any options there?
Rumbling on twitter is that SE is too similar to WoW, similar enough in fact to attract legal attention from Blizzard. Let's all hope not.
I have that problem too, sometimes, from the home page. Try going directly to http://game.shadowera.com and logging in from that login screen. Seems to always work fine for me from there. Q
Wish I could find the quote from Kyle from a while back but don't have time to search for it now. However, I believe the gist of Kyle's response to this was that they are certain all their legal bases are covered and there won't be any shutdown or cease and desist letters coming Shadow Era's way from Blizzard.
