Thanks, I love ranged users, so I guess I am going to reset my account for the time being.

And it sounds like a great idea to include hero reset feature into the iOS client.

Thanks again to everyone for the feedback. An update will be submitted next week that should improve on all of these issues, as well as introduce about 25 new cards.

Some quick stats for you: so far in the past 24hrs we have had about 30,000 new players and now average about 2,000 online at once, with 7,000 multiplayer games played. So I would say the iPhone launch is going well and it hasn't even been featured by Apple and the gaming news sites like TA yet! :D

Been playing for a while, tons of fun, as the beta was. I am playing as Victor Heartstriker as my hero. I'm not really sure how to use his ability though, he's supposed to do 2 damage with a bow, but it doesn't say anything about resources. My best strategy is to take out all allies any way possible. It helps a ton, because Shadow Heroes use a ton of allies.

What's the benefit of leveling up besides cash? Any abilities or increased stats the hero gets?

Unlocking additional NPCs to fight in the single player map. Don't know of anything else atm.

I mentioned that 2 days ago that TA should feature this, but it is a shame that TA is quite indulged in FFIII and such....

Great to hear about the update -- any weapon/armor cards included? Details, please.

An obvious addition is to enlarge all the cards your hand when you tap one. It was annoying tapping each one on computer, it's even worse on iphone =/

There is supposed to be "RPG-style progression" (though I cannot recall where I read it), but so far, I haven't come across any such mechanisms.

Hey Kyle, I started a thread on BoardGameGeeks.com . Looks like some good response from the cardboard and plastic crowd.

    In App Purchase Problem

I tried to purchase a booster pack and it didn't work. It deducted the cash from my account, but no cards showed up on the screen. I tried it again, and it worked, but it also deducted another 100 from my account.

    How do I address this?

It hasn't even been out in the US for 24 hours yet, but everyone feel free to pm hodapp if you think TA is doing a disservice to its members by not mentioning this great free to play game on the homepage! :D I know both No Dpad and Slide to Play are reviewing the game now...

I will post the changelog so far soon, but yes it does include 10 weapons and 10 armor cards.

Orions 2 will be out in a few weeks. Seriously consider getting it. The first one was amazing; this one will be multiplayer!

I want to say I really am enjoying Shadow Era a lot. Great job. ....But!

The only problem for me (and it's a dealbreaker) is that you can only build theme decks according to your choice of hero. Which dramatically limits your deck building choices.

I play Magic (and have for 10 years) because I enjoy making all kinds of weird decks that are fun, surprising, and inventive.

Unfortunately, the "class" system of Shadow Era tells you you HAVE to build a goblin deck, instead of choosing what mix of goblins and zombies feels best to you (random non-sequitur examples).

Anyway, very well done game, well-executed. But that core game mechanic badly needs serious lax-ification. I will be buying a dollar's worth of extra cards, I think. But unless something is done to allow for some real creativity to blossom in deck design, this game won't hold my interest very long.

I like the class system as well as the shadow/human system as well, it feels a little confined as is but once it's updated a few times with more cards I think it will work out great.

@Notthevictim Victor Heartstrike's ability is a passive one, so it doesn't require resources or the Shadow Energy that heroes with active abilities use. Currently, the only weapon card is for the Wulven class but the next update will add weapons and armours and make the unpopular classes right now more viable.

@Ayjona RPG-style progression being leveling and it's not very interesting right now due to campaigns not having been implemented. It will and leveling will get better though.

@Ubisububi I believe someone previously mentioned this issue with the iOS version and it happens when you buy a pack and then buy another one right away? You should've gotten the cards though, even though it didn't load the card pack unwrapping screens properly. If you didn't get the cards, contact support on this page: http://www.shadowera.com/support.php.

@deadclown I agree that the amount of variety in decks is low right now the first set has 200 cards and so far, only about 107 are in the game. Also, MtG has had years and years to which they've introduced set upon set. SE will be releasing more card sets, which means more heroes and cards and selection.

Congrats! Hopefully people are buying boosters/decks. I bought two decks and a booster :)
