At least it doesn't say "enemy ally"
But it does have to differentiate between allies and the Hero. Some cards can not affect Heroes, so "target creature" wouldn't work

Looking forward to offline mode. :). Also can you make the buttons bigger on the iPad and not stick them so close to the edge of the screen. I don't know about most people but my iPad case covers up to the "touchable" screen edge so button that close makes it really hard to register a touch.

Also instead of having to look for the camera button it would be nice to just be able to swipe up and down to pan and pinch in-out to zoom. All these guesture capabilities should be used to make it feel even more interactive. Another example would be to drag one card to another to target (when it's valid) and maybe drag a card to the resource to sacrifice. That'll make I feel as though you are really playing with cards. Please add iPod music support too. :)

I love me some CCG goodness on my iPad! I've only played a few times, but I can already appreciate some of the strategies required to play well. I already like the flow of it and I'm sure this will suck hours upon hours of my free time.

The TCG game itself seems pretty solid, with more cards needed of course, particularly weapons, since as of right now some heroes are completely useless.

However the UI needs a lot of work. It's very clunky, unresponsive and un-apple like. I made the mistake of touching the green icon during a game and the options toolbar came out. I couldn't figure out of to send it back up, a simple swipe should have done it, instead I had to exit the match. Not cool.

How many cards are available total? The card numbers go up to 200, but there are several missing from the merchant. Are they supposed to be unlocked later as you level up or in future updates?

All in all loving the game. You guys did a really great job.

Grabbed the iPhone version as soon as it appeared in the US app store last night. All i can say is FANTASTIC!!! Finally, AT LAST, a REAL CCG on iOS. Rejoice! I've been waiting for this since the old PocketPC days when Orions was the only thing close (and even before that) to a real CCG. But Shadow Era is the first, full blown, well thought out, painstakingly created CCG for the platform and it blows me away!

Yeah, there are a couple bugs. My only real complaint for this version overall though is the apparent inability to "mange decks". It seems I can have a deck and edit it to my hearts content and save it. But if I want a different deck, I have to clear my current deck and build a new one. Would love to be able to save a whole arsenal of decks and pick the one I want to use prior to each battle/match. Any plans to add anything like that, Kyle?

I really cannot congratulate you guys enough. This game is what I've been wanting for what seems like FOREVER. Can't wait to play more of you online. Another nice thing would be to be able to pick and choose opponents to challenge (some kind of game lobby for finding players).

Overall the game ROCKS, plays very nicely and I see myself spending too much money buying cards and building decks in the days, weeks, months and years ahead!

GREAT JOB! Now, everyone, go grab this game now! See you on the battlefield!

Like I said this game is awesome. I agree it needs another option for managing decks and camera controls. For camera I agree with above poster in using touch drags and pinches to control it. I don't have any other complaints at all, game is that good and with more cards it will be unbeatable in my opinion. Kyle, I think u said something about us people who were invited to iPhone beta getting some crystals since beta never happened on iOS. So just wondering if/when that will happen? And any eta on the armor and weapon cards? Thanks a ton for an awesome game.

I really need to go buy a "TCG for Dummies". I tried to wrap my brain around how they work, but obviously I wont be getting any MENSA invitations soon. Maybe my downfall is just an inability to focus on the mechanics.

If I knew how to play it, I would be compelled to purchase the IAP but being that I am just randomly clicking.... well you know.

Very polished game... looks great. I wish the dev success on this app.

I agree with the interface issue. I asked about whether you could battle online earlier because how to bring up a menu from the world map wasn't very clear at all. A simple double tap to zoom in on your hand or something like that would be nice as well. I like the game though, but the interface/the way you interact with the game could use some polish. I also like how the game isn't totally dependant on the IAP. Overall, this is a good app that I think has the potential for greatness if the updates are regular and some of the interface issues are sorted, as I have found the touch unresponsive at times.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be able to implement some of the suggested gestures in the next release.

Not seeing the polish. cards aren't responsive to touch. Strange looking UI elements. Lag whenever 'spells' are activated. A pretty barebones tutorial (Just add a link that takes you to the FAQ on the site). Rather easy to out deck AI. Also no way to see the equipped card's details. Deck editing is rather cruddy as well.

Otherwise this game has insane amount of potential o_O

Will keep up with this =)

I too also found the interface a bit unresponsive. Maybe because the game was starting or finishing up an animation? Maybe have an option when you press the screen it'll just skip or fast forward the animation? Possibly have an icon somewhere indicating an animation is in progress? Another suggestion is to add a time/clock somewhere so I don't need to switch out to see how long I've been playing. lol.

It would be also very nice when targetting an enemy to show somewhere my source card. I keep forgetting exactly whether I'm attaching for x or y number of damage and would have to go back to my screen while selecting a proper target. Maybe have your source card side by side with the target and being able to swipe left/right to change your target card (options can be below the card e.g. target) while the source stays on the screen.

Another improvement would be when I select a card it and it is expanded I should be able to dismiss by hitting the card again (default option) or hit anywhere outside the card. Along this line when I'm viewing a card I should be able to swipe left/right to look at the next/prev card. It gets annoying having to press so many times looking at the cards in your stack or your opponents.

As for the card layout I can't read all the description so maybe another button to show the cards side by side without the text being distorted.

Maybe an option to arrange the cards in my personal order or provide defaults for the sorting ordering and maybe put spaces between the different categories of cards (items vs. allies vs. instants)

As for the animation.. it seems a bit cheesy. If anything the animation should start from the source card and end at the target. The animation just appearing on the target card out of nowhere seems incomplete.

On the merchant page have a way to filter/sort cards by class, cost, rarity, etc. And swipe to view cards.

The deck builder needs an overhaul and some additional features to make it easier to create/edit decks: swipe/sort/filter cards.

BTW, even with all these it's still a great game and has huge potential with some polishing. :)

I tend to have a lot of problems trying to select a card in my hand when the camera is viewing my half of the board (not zoomed in on my hand). This ends up being really irritating because I have to switch the camera twice if I want to get a better view of my hand in order to accurately choose cards.

Ditto on some of the interface issues:
    1. Unresponsive to card taps unless I'm zoomed all the way in on my hand, which gets rather frustrating at times.
    2. Pinch and Drag gestures would be a a far superior way to control the camera, and far more intuitive considering the device and OS.
    3. Animations are okay but nothing to write home about and I can live without them, so an option to turn them off entirely would be nice.
    4. A deck manager will be completely necessary once people start trying to play out different deck building strategies. Only having a single deck is becoming VERY annoying.

And this isn't an interface issue but a general observation. Last week my deck had one hero in it. I did nothing and now my hero has changed to one I don't like at all. What happened there? The changes I did make to my deck last week are still in place (bought some cards, sold some cards) but the hero was altered without my participation or consent!

THIS GAME IS FREAKING AWESOME. Thanks Kyle!

I as well vote for multiple deck managing. It'll give me a reason to collect and save more cards in my arsenal for each hero I've earned along the way. Being able to turn off music only and keep the sound effects would be nice but I dont mind playing with the sound off for the time being.

After getting it handed to me a few times in the tutorial match, I've finally grasped the whole concept fully and the game simply rocks. I wish/prefer the AI world matches were completely offline and the resources were cloud saved to prevent hacking them, but I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too. :(

I went ahead and bought 1 of each deck as well as one booster pack to support you on it, and glad I did($10 DLC). I still have a small bit of resources left over that I'll save for the next update(s) as I earn more. Thanks for making such a solid TCG Kyle! ;)

Wondering about both these questions as well. :D

Purchased 600 Crystals yesterday (thanks to the bonus) and have already grabbed a couple boosters. Very pleased with the iPhone version (and agree with the calls for offline and touch camera controls).

I highly encourage new players to try the game on PC/Mac so you can get a feel for it on the bigger screen. Will help you to learn the game. Also, you can increase the speed of the game via the options menu (using the top pull down menu) which is great for grinding.

As for the questions about saving decks...I've been able to save decks for each hero, without a problem. Not sure if people are looking for multiple decks for each hero (which there's no ability to do so right now)...I definitely have enjoyed crafting additional decks using the heroes I've opened in my booster packs.
