Great to hear the offline mode will be in the next patch - though sorry to hear you lost power! Looking forward to getting into this. I have never played Magic The Gathering offline or online nor have I played any CCGs before but am looking forward to it. I'll post some impressions soon. Downloaded it through the Australian App Store so I'll be sure to leave a review there.
Strange, i thought that decks and hero status from the browser version would be the same as the ipad version. I just downloaded the app and logged in, there i could choose a new hero and deck instead of using the browser one. If I now login on the browser version with the same account I only see my old deck. Also in the browser version I have level 5 and in the ipad app iam level 2.
I have no idea how to play this game but am trying to learn, how good are the starter decks? I was thinking of buying the wolven deck or elemental?
@marty1005: Double check that the email addresses are infact the same. Sometimes the iPhone auto-correct does something bad @TotallyImba: The starter decks are, well, for starters. Good to learn the game and add on to. I think Mages, Elemental or Wulven classes are good for new players, as they are easier to play since they deal with direct damage effects. @IzzyNobre: Tap on the jewel icon at the top center of the screen to get the dropdown menu. Select Deck. You will see your deck at the top, and the other cards in your library at the bottom. Tap on the first card in your deck (your current hero) and remove him to clear out your deck, then build a new one.
Kyle, quick question! Is the only way to obtain rare/epic cards through the purchase if booster packs?
No, you can buy them from the Merchant for gold that you win from battles, but they are obviously more expensive.
Kyle, is there any chance you will be adding time limits in multiplayer? Last night I sat in a game for 10 minutes while an opponent did nothing. I got bored and left the game, so perhaps I just missed something, but if not, can you either have an idle kickoff or some sort of turn/overall game timelimit? This was incredibly frustrating. Otherwise I enjoy it a lot. With an opponent actually playing the game it had some really fun strategies.
There needs to be a penalty for resigning or something. Its stupid that I keep getting ahead of ppl in the first 5-6 turns just to have them leave and get a "the match was too short to get xp".
If that happens, it's actually you with the connectivity problem. The game was trying in the background to reconnect but couldn't. Currently there isn't a client-side timer on your own side when you can't connect, but we will be adding more status indicators in the next release. Anyways, what the server saw and what "really" happened is that the other guy finished his turn, and was waiting for you. The server ended the game after a minute or so when you didn't respond. Edit: maybe it was Morenar vs Kylescorpion, thus they both saw different things on their own side heheh
How do i buy packs with shadow crystals when you click on a pack and press buy it just takes you too the individual cards too buy with gold
You touch the crystal icon. It's bottom left I think (the thing that tells u how many crystals u have)
No that just takes you too the purchase more crystals screen which i have already done i just want too spend the crystals i have Edit its ok i have sussed it there is a second buy button in the middle of the screen
yeah game is great on the ipod touch/iphone, now just waiting for more cards to be released especially weapons and armor.

Game Impressions Some of the card abilities are confusing. Why does it say "Ally" when it targets the enemy unit? One case is Crippling Blow, it says "target ally is reduced to 0 base attack". I was wondering why would I use that card, when it gimps my own units. I only realised that it's meant to be used on enemy cards when the CPU used it on me. Just make it easier and say "target creature" or something, just like Magic.
