Aeon Rocks! Hi, I've discovered this game only about a week ago and had a lot of fun in the beta up to now. Since I'm a former Magic player I picked up the rules quite fast. Like the sacrificing mechanic a lot! Heres My favorite card: The main reason is his huge survivability. Many allies get wiped out really fast by cards like lightning strike (maybe combined with one attack). Aeon has a good chance to survive a round and since he's a protector the opponent is forced to focus him even if he can't kill him right away. This gives you one effective combo in the late game: when hes down to four or less hitpoints use Retreat and bring him back right away. (portal would help ) I use him in my Nishaven deck that follows this strategy: second turn: play a Research if you have one. third turn: use either clinging webs if a strong attacker is on the board or hit the enemy hero with a fireball. fourth turn: Play Portal fifth turn: Play Supernova if several enemy allies are out if not Sandra Trueblade to slow him down or Death trap vs a single strong ally. sixth turn-endlay as many Aeons as possible. Maybe a Retreat!/Hero ability or Supernova combo. The weakness of this Deck are Cards like Death Trap and Mind Control. Against a Deck with many Death traps a Priest Hero with Resurrection/Holy Shield would probably be better havent tested it yet.
A special thanks to everyone who entered in the beta contest! Pms have gone out to the lucky winners and the beta will start asap
Beta Ugh! Finally got a chance to sit down and submit my favorite card for iPhone beta contest and missed it by less than 30 minutes...CRAP! Oh well, never mind I guess...
Yipppppiiiiiieee! The beta is about to start! I am really looking forward to see Shadow Era rock the card gaming industry!!! Cheers Jens PS @Kyle: ...don't forget the physical print run of the initial card set we talked about sometime earlier ;-) on the Shadow Era forums for interrested customers as well!
some cards have same names and similar abilities with mtg cards, is it's really needed. there are only several so it's ok, but overall names of the cards are not really impressive.
When is the iphone beta actually going to start? I've been anxiously awaiting ever since the PMs went out.
Still have 7 slowpokes that haven't submitted their device IDs yet, so probably it will go out on Monday
Ahhh i cant waaait!Come on slowPokes! It's my first time with an iphone beta. Can you explain me what i will have to do,apart from sending you the device number? Thank you Poole!
Oh shoot!! I actually tried to send it to you when I got the message, but my email account was on the fritz, so the email didn't go through. I just remembered, so I sent the email just now.
@Squarta - this is my first iPhone beta also, and seeing as nobody is answering you, I did some snooping around the ol' interwebs to learn the ropes. Here's what I learned: Kyle will email all of us a zip file. We'll open it and drag the contents into iTunes. We connect our iPhones and the computer does the rest. Seems easy enough, right? I hope this helps and is correct, but I'm sure Kyle will provide instructions when he emails out the build. Oh, yeah, every update he does is called a "build," meaning that he is recompiling the code. I've read conflicting sources on whether we will be able to update with the new builds while on the go or if we'll have to do the zip file all over again. But I'm sure that will be made clear when the time comes. =)
