Beta signups started a while back...but just wondering anyone have any idea on when will it actually start?
Soon, I hope. It is an open web based beta, with potentially limitless openings. I believe it's mearly a matter of hitting a magic number. And just imagine, nearly anyone will be ale to play, with multiple platforms, all playing nicely. Get your friends signed up! Spread the word to anyone who might enjoy this game. Idevice not required for fun! The more support we show, the more we shall recive! I'm ready to buy a few boosters, and the beta hasn't even started yet! Let's get this train rolling full steam! Yeah! Go go go! Yayyyyyy Shadow Era!!! I did an interview with Slide to Play that should be posted soon. But we gotta get the game on the front page of TA! I'm sure there are a lot of people that would be very interested in this, but don't read the upcoming forums....
Well, front page? I think, you messed it up by giving STP an interview... Just kidding! Go write a mail or PM to Hodapp or arn or Blake and ask them for a front page feature.
Yeah I did all that of course, but haven't heard back from anybody. I guess I proved that buying advertising doesn't get you a front page mention. Well done, TA, I salute you!

Some Beta-Test Details announced! Over at the Shadow Era website, Kyle Poole has posted some information about the closed beta. Details here. Basically it is a closed beta, where they will be selecting some folks from those that signed up at the website. There will be no NDA, and people are welcome to post impressions and screenshots with the understanding that they should very clearly state that it's from the BETA test of the game. The game features 'Hero' characters from one of two factions (with room for expansion later on), and they're going to release Heroes for Beta-Testers to to play with systematically so that they all get a thorough testing. I hope to be selected as a Beta-Tester, and have created a MemberBlog (user name Paradox) over at their forums to document the experience (assuming I get selected as a Beta-Tester at all). From what we've been able to see so far, it looks like it's shaping up to be an awesome game! Wulven Gate Studios has struck me as very thoughtful and organized in their approach towards design and testing this game to make it a quality product.
I'm hoping this gets on the front page, so it gets some publicity. That might help it's playerbase when released.
