The graphics in this game are outstanding! Kind of would like the option for moveable buttons. On the ipad, finding the l/r a little too far apart, and would like the attack and jump buttons one on top og each other on the right side of the screen or maybe at a 45 degree angle.
That's great to hear! Maybe we can get button layout customization? Sounds like since one button is being used but is assigned to start, customization could b great.
Just perfected chapter 2, 2-2 was a difficult one. Getting the time goal much more difficult than it looks. Off I go to chapter 3.
You can't Three-Shuriken 3-11 right? Apart from that I've got every shuriken in the game. It was a blast!
So I'm really fence riding on this one...no Game Center really seems as though it may make replayability not an option for me. Can anyone who is a GC junkie, like myself, comment on this?
Well, I guess that sums it up nicely I'll buy based on your recommendation. My only other concern are the reviewers saying it's really short, but for $2 I'll certainly buy it.
From the video quality of gameplay and graphics seems good as well as sound. For myself no because I never go for these types of games as they bore me but I'd recommend this one for people who like this platform. Too repetitious for me but that is the nature of these types of games so that's not a drawback if you like these types of games. Highly recommended for those who like this type of game.
Game Impressions IOS gamers are no strangers to platformers. It's probably one of the most prevalent genres on IOS. While games like League of Evil, Commander Pixman, and others have shown that touch controls can work, precise controls can sometimes be hit or miss. Luckily Shadow Blade easily delivers and offers some of the best platforming action I've played on IOS. When I first saw Shadow Blade, I thought it would be more of a fast paced stealth game, akin to Mark of the Ninja. Turns out that wasn't quite accurate. Shadow Blade is a fast paced precision platformer with some light stealth mechanics. Enemies are more like obstacles in your way, easily dispatched; if you're stopping to fight them, then your timing's off. Shadow Blade is all about speed and swiftness. Across its three chapters and Hardcore levels, you'll face a gauntlet of spikes and sawblades, electric barriers and collapsing platforms, snipers and other enemies. While I found the swipe controls lacking, the virtual buttons provide the precision and accuracy needed to evade the various hazards and enemies. Perfecting each level takes practice and sharp timing. Soon you'll be effortlessly striking down enemies without pausing, double jumping between blades, dashing through glass barriers, and the game's fluid animations and colorful visuals means the action and spraying blood doesn't get old. Shadow Blade offers fantastic platforming fun, thanks to its stylish visuals, responsive controls, fluid gameplay, and high difficulty
Finished chapter three, just gonna work my way back through and perfect them, which will probably take me forever, found it a lot harder than the previous two chapters, I'll have a shit load of fun doing it though.
Still loving the game, on the last chapter. 3 stared each & every level so far. Does this work with the moga controller? Just bought one. Gonna go on the iphone to test the controller support. Don't see anything about it I'm the info.
Seems like a lot of people were saying it was a speed runner, but I'm having fun playing it more as a regular ninja platforming game. Really cool so far.
This is incredible, Josh. I got that new cydia app to use my PS3 controller with the game and it's just a beast to play now!
