I'm not sure if it is my internet connection, computer or whatever but both Sanuku's and Echoen's video looked, kin of jerky or stutter"y" to me? Still like the look of it. Just finishing off Rayman Jungle so in the market for a new platformer.
"I was hoping this file size would be small' ... Said everyone who's 5 years old. Seriously? This looks like an amazing game with tons of time & care put into it. Your going to complain that it's just over a quater of a gig? I just can't. Anyways: so pumped for this! Counting down the hours. Gonna be a good night tonight
Im ready to buy, but im waiting for other releases to be posted first since im only dedicating $3 for this week's purchases.
Same here, but that's only because that is all that is left of the $75 iTunes credit I got for Christmas. But this game is for sure going to take $2 of that.
While I would much rather have seen something with at least some of the feel and structure of Mark of the Ninja (perhaps not quite as restrictive and caution-focused, but still with more room for stealth and strategy), instead of strictly time-based, speed-focused gameplay, this still looks like a very exciting release. I've always seen achievements as entirely redundant. However, with the advent of GameCenter's challenge mechanics, they finally have a purpose. They are still one of the least essential of features to me, but the possibility to send both acquired achievements and leaderboard scores and ranks to pals as a persistent challenge and push notification can actually add a layer of competitive play to strictly single player experiences.
There is a wiiiide gulf in convenience and ease of access between posting to a forum (which, incidentally, is rarely done on TA), and sending off a challenge directly from in the app. In particular when so many people I play with are not TA members (and would not care to become so in spite of the allure of going through several extra hoops to compare scores with a limited selection of players ).
I can agree with that. I guess I just place ZERO value in making a contest about a score I get in a single player game. I know other people do value that, though, but when a game as awesome looking as this one comes out, and people say that they won't get it because it doesn't support that feature (or maybe it does, but just not the way THEY want it to), then I call BS.
Maybe I missed it but is this for iPhone/iPod only? No ipad compatability? I have an iPhone 4 but play games on it as little as possible because it is totally showing its age.
