Good points. Thanks, both of ya. Perhaps I should step just a few inches outside of my comfort zone. Might cheapen out and wait for a price drop. But I think I could enjoy the speed and timing mechanics since they seem to place great focus on acrobatics, possibly my second favourite action game mechanic after melee combat.
Virtual buttons seemed to give me more control. I really wanted to swipe & slash but had a difficult time at certain points with control. Buttons are dead on! Made the game much more fun. Just increased the rating after changing to buttons.
Having sound issues. Had it for first 10 levels & now no sound or music. Anyone else have this issue? Did reboot & no luck. Other games sound works.
Hmmm... I'm still hoping the MFi controls are fixed... But no, no audio issues here... Not as far as I can tell. =o/ iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4
I just got this game yesterday finally. A couple of questions. Do iCloud saves work correctly for others? I've been playing on my iPad and tried it on my phone, and it did sync, but the save it downloaded seemed to be several hours old, since I had completed several more levels on my iPad. Have others seen similar problems? Also just curious if anyone prefers the swipe controls over the virtual buttons. I want to like the swipe because they feel more analog, but even after practicing a while, I can't seem reliably pull off the intended moves with swipes, whereas with the buttons I can. Just wondering if others have been able to become reliable at using swipes.
This game is so freaking awesome. Sorry to bump an old thread but this recently dug it's way back into my rotation and it still rocks.
Is it normal that on my Madcatz Micro the controls are mapped so that the aerial forward slash is performed only with B and not forward+X, and the downward slash can only be performed with down+X instead of neutral+X?
That's how it is for me too, with both my Madcatz full size, and with a PS3 controller. I think the control mapping for that game is not very intuitive. I would have preferred the forward slash and downward slash to work similarly, just as they do when using the touch interface.
Exactly my thoughts, that's why i thought maybe either the MFi controller was broken by iOS 8 or something, but if that's how they implemented it it doesnt feel intuitive at all. The control scheme with the touchscreen is fantastic and i was actually expecting that to be implemented into MFi, instead of remapping the moves into different buttons.
Update with 10 new levels and iphone 6 and 6+ support! Woot! I still wish they improve the MFi mapping the way it is when playing on the touchscreen.
Looks like both 1st and 3rd level of the updates are broken. Can't get all the objectives. Also... Dojo doesn't have a icon in the game
The reason for the 1 star is because there is a enhanced version out there. And if you want to buy one Buy the enhanced version. For 5$
