Bro, YOU NEED TO PULL THAT VEGA OUT MORE!!!! Your Vega is the s#!+, I mean you pulled some crazy mixups and option-selects that I haven't seen on ipad, and barely see on AE! You are damn good too man, your Guile is great, and I did catch you a couple of your mistakes, but I think your vega is so much better than your Guile!
OPTION SELECTS?!?!? What option selects does vega have? The only option selects i know about are yuns one and the throw/punch one.

Thanks Rukus, I was thinking i should have brought him out that second fight. Definately feeling him more tonight than Guile, plus i can manage him better too during random lag attacks. Sucks when i cant pick up a rhythm because my charge gets reset, or just basic moving around, missed link, etc. Hmm, what is a Option-Select? Snooper?
On consoles its when you input two things at once, and the game chooses the best option. For example a lot of characters can option select sweeps into light attacks, so if the opponent backdashes then the sweep will come out. As far as i know there are only two option selects in volt. The most obvious one is throw/punch, if youre close enough to do the throw then it will come out otherwise a punch will. Theres a variation of this on consoles called crouch teching. Yun is the only character (that i know of) who can do any other type of option select. If you do cr k and then quarter circle forward and punch then a standing punch will come out if they block and a lunge punch will come out if they backdash. The reason only yun can do this is because yuns standing punch is a jab, so the attacks chain if they block. its kind of hard to explain what i mean by that, but theres plenty of character specific option select guides out there, shoryuken.com is probably the best place to look. ANYWAY, were you option selecting with vega? If so im interested to find out how.

Ok. No I wasnt doing that then. I found a short video clip on SRK awhile ago on a crouch tech OS with him, going lowstab/Ultra2, it looked too complicated though i guess it would be pretty safe. Not something i would bother with learning anyway. Yeah, RUKUS, did you save any replays man?
I dont know if you can os ultras in volt. You might be able to do low jab/slide if you press down, p and k at the same time, ill check it out
His Ultra IS a slide. Maybe this is why it can be pulled off, though not for Volt, for AE i didnt make clear. I dont think he can do any of that stuff in Volt...thatd be cool if you proved me wrong tho.
Lots of characters can os ultra to catch backdashes, cammy, makoto, yun, fei long and im sure heaps more. I dont think that would work on volt though, unless MAYBE if you inputted the ultra manually. Ill hit the training room. Anyway ill stop posting here, not really tourney related.
