I'm pretty sure that the developers know that everyone wants multiplayer lol. Who wouldn't? SF4 multiplayer on the iPhone..how much better could it get. I would love to see it..hopefully they add it

I love this game but just to play Devil's Advocate look how much of GTA Chinatown you get in the iPhone version compared to how much SF4 you get in the iPhone version.

GTA Chinatown was a portable game original, and developed for a platform that is less powered than the iDevice. SFIV/iPhone is an original version of the game.

Not that I agree with his line of thinking but the fact that the iPhone can make phone calls doesn't make the game better. Not to mention that some people have iPod Touches.

I believe you would call that playing with another player basically. So, in the menu, there's a little option called VERSUS under SOLO mode. Click that and have another person with SF4 with Bluetooth enabled, and there you go. BASIC Multiplayer.

And for those of you who want to boycott the game to make the developers add more stuff, what are you thinking? Stuff like this requires money. If we all boycott it, there's no money. So that's just illogical thinking.

Also, a $10 game for the iPhone is completely justified compared to a $40 PSP game. The reasons for this is because:
    1) There is a HUGE consumer base with the number of iPhones and iPods out there and the iPad coming soon.
    2) Consoles and computer games and the (old) PSP all requires a disc, cartridge, or hardware of some sort. That adds to the cost of production. Digital distribution only requires the developer to create one copy and then post it to the App Store and so they cost of development is the only cost which takes a lot off of the developers so they are then able to lower the price point considerably since a big game like this is bound to sell a lot (and it is since it's the top grossing app as of right now).
    3) Updates and such are relatively simple with the App Store system. And the inclusion of DLC makes it a lot easier for the developers. They don't have to release a brand new game and I know that this is implemented by a lot of consoles already but it's a great and useful feature.

The game is already great for its price. Every single person who bought it knew what they were getting into when they bought the game so don't whine and complain about the number of characters and no Wi-Fi. I mean, we all want Wi-Fi and more characters but ALL of us are sick and tired of every single troll and whatnot complaining about it. WE GET IT. You made your point. Now there's the close button in the top left/right of your screen.

i think console game companies need to understand the business model of idevice well first. They cannot think like what they did for consoles. they think console games on iDevice platform will lose money if they offer full content. and in opposite if they make a true console port version, it should set as standard for iDevice gaming. They are still very reserved in this area because now there is no serious competition yet.

with such a large market, there is no formula to say that iDevice cannot have full console contents. Games cannot be compare this way. In fact i believe if they put the actual SF4 console game in iphone, it will be a mega hit and even break sales record for Capcom.

I can see that Capcom is using iDevice to promote the full console game which is a good thing for their business strategy. All casual gamers like us have some peeks at it and this is fun enough.

i heard that iphone memory have limitation for them to port more characters so we may not see any updates at all.

    Wow.

Full content on an iDevice. Maybe I misunderstood, but I consider SFIV to be pretty damn well full content quality on an iDevice. SFIV on xbox is what? a 4Gb DVD? I will buy whatever they sell as DLC for this bringing it closer to 'full console', but as it stands? Wow. I have friends I've shown SFIV to who would usually baulk at paying more than £1.79 for a game saying. "Wow! that's like the xbox! how much? £6? Hmmm not so bad"

This game is is epic win. Yeah its less than the XBOX or PS3 contain. but its awesome! and I seriously have to wonder about the people who are complaining they've beat it too easily already. try putting the CPU difficulty up to 4 stars, then play it again.

This is the first game I've ever been able to show off to friends without iPhones and have them go, WOW! that's actually pretty awesome.

I just read an interview with the Director of SFIV and apparently they wanted to put in more characters but it was an issue of memory? The interview was done via a Translator (at the GDC, not Google translator)

    My wish list:

    1. More chars
    2. Resizable buttons/joystick
    3. Ability to select voices/language separately. I like using jap voices with eng user interface.
