Play as a team of heroes, using the rules of Sentinels of the Multiverse and the combined setting and characters of the critically acclaimed Mutants & Masterminds roleplaying game, to protect Earth-Prime! The rules of the game are straightforward: Play a Card, Use a Power, and Draw a Card. What makes SoEP unique is that each card has special abilities that can create powerful combos or even change the rules of the game! Sentinels of Earth-Prime is a standalone game, but it also fully cross-compatible with Sentinels of the Multiverse. It's really just another fully compatible SotM expansion that can function as a standalone and, technically, is of a totally unrelated IP (i.e. this set of heroes and villains have no connections, lore-wise, to the SotM crew). For those curious, I made a feeble attempt to sum up all of the new decks (nothing about their quality, just their primary gimmicks, as it were): Heroes: Bowman: The Hawkeye of SoEP with all sorts of trick arrows. Captain Thunder: A guy that can offer support to the team in various ways as well as shoot lightning bolts. Daedelus: A tricky character with a lot of techniques to draw and get rid of their cards for cool effects as long as your hand never gets too big which will result in self-harm. Doctor Metropolis: A master of locations (something like his own Environment cards) as well as being able to manipulate the Environment deck. Johnny Rocket: A guy based around momentum ongoing cards. They can be used to play other momentum cards or destroyed to give some of his cards extra effects. Lady Liberty: A decent support character better at healing others than herself. Pseudo: A master shape shifter, being able to take different shapes for cool effects. The Raven: She reminds me a bit of Wraith but with lots of clever ways to recycle her cards. Siren: A master of weather and thus all of the cool abilities that come with that. Star Knight: A master of trash manipulation with all sorts of powers powered by trashing cards as well as many cards that can allow him to retrieve cards back out of the trash. Villains: Argo: An android that imprinted on all of the core Earth-Prime heroes, both gaining their powers but also inadvertently, imprinting various vulnerabilities as it uses the heroes' powers. Grue Meta-Mind: An evil mastermind from Pseudo’s world that specializes in all sorts of psychic and shape shifting powers. Hades: An evil devil deal-maker forcing bad deals on the heroes potentially for a minor gain but always at a heavy price. Omega: A scary interdimensional baddy able to spawn portals that either boost him and his minions or mess with the heroes. If he ever has 6 of these breaches in play at any one time, he wins. Environments: Farside City: A freaky city on the far side of the Moon with a lot of indestructible artifacts which, if brought to 0 hp will continuously damage EVERYTHING else at every Environmental turn. Freedom City: A wondrously hero friendly city will automatically draw the ire of any villain (lots of locations that are automatically damaged by the villain as well as letting the villain play an extra card from their Villain Deck once destroyed). Tartarus: The home of Hades filled with all sorts of spirits (fairly neutral entities) and torments (things that exist solely to torment heroes). The Terminus: Omega’s home realm, filled with all sorts of hazards for the heroes. nickhoola, jkluk23, Ijipop and 1 other person like this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
