Impressed with this game and with update it just got even better. My thoughts on the game are below from an earlier post. Having ability to fix towers (repair) is an awesome addition. Just finished game on Psycho difficulty and it was loads of fun. Bought zero IAP so price of game is very reasonable. Still a must buy TD game and I have played them all. Developer please consider adding additional stages to the planet scheme, in fact I would be willing to invest in the purchase of additional add-on stages if they are unique and add to the awesome storyline!!! Personally I'd like to see more in-game upgrade options for Endless. After about 50-70 waves, you're basically waiting to see if your build holds up. But then come the Scorpions and aren't even bothered by a nuke or 6 fully upgraded Beam towers. But I have 50.000 credits I can't use... Certainly the 2x2 and 3x3 towers could use an end-game upgrade or two. Or maybe a way to invest credits in a general damage and HP boost for all towers at 10.000 credits per level ?
New update in submission! Hi all, We have another bigger update awaiting approval from Apple. We're trying to address people's main concerns with the game as quickly as we can. Here are the changes: Main changes: - iPad Retina graphics added! - Turret damage received is now vastly reduced on lower difficulty levels! - Lots of UI improvements, including new toggle controls for stronghold and commander! - Fixed iCloud bug which would prevent syncing with 64-bit devices Other changes: - Lots of extra stats for Armoury upgrades - Added extra tips and explanation for new players - Fixed crashes and lots of little bugs We've also got some extra special stuff going in at the moment for the next update As always, feedback is much appreciated!
Definitely maps, obviously. Not too fussed about commanders or enemies, but given the choice, enemies with novel mechanics. New turrets would be fantastic, or improvements to existing weapons. My main complaint about the game is that most of the top tier upgrades are a bit underwhelming. It would be nice if they were more transformative (along the lines of the artillery one or the radar one), rather than just being more of the same but better. I'd also agree with Phuncz that Endless could do with some tweaks (or just another end-game mode) - there's not a lot of strategy to it for most levels, it's just a question of filling out the available space and upgrading as you have the credits, at which point you just wait until you get overpowered, with maybe a bit of micro-managed healing. There's no real incentive to play that mode after you beat the game as it stands. If it had different enemies from the campaign, maybe that would spice it up. Not to turn this into a complaint post, but my only other real complaint is the way the wave indicator shows the current wave, not the next one - I know what the current wave is because I can see them getting shot at by my towers! Another point, not really a complaint: commander levelling is really slow. I've completed every map on every difficulty, and played a fair amount of endless with XP boosts on, and my commander (the only one I've used all game) is still only level 18. That seems a bit weird.
Thank you Thanks for the suggestions. I particularly want to expand on the cloaking mechanic for the next load of new enemies, it was something that we never got the time to explore fully.
Agree, love game 4 of this series and hope to see expansions map packs or similar to that regard. Would love to see a difficulty level above Psycho...my towers and commanders are so strong that Psycho isn't as challenging now that I completed the game on Psycho. Honestly Retina or not I think the graphics are superior to many TD games...also check out the environments in total...some pretty slick effects! Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks The damage that turrets received in the upcoming update is scaled per difficulty. It makes the easier skill settings easier, but on Psycho you take even more damage, so I hope you're ready with upgraded shielders and plenty of orbital repair
