Game Impressions Since I don't think anyone is really interested in seeing a gameplay video of a TD game when there's more than one already I'll just go ahead and say that the first two levels ran fine on my iPod Touch 4 and that the soundtrack is pretty awesome. Also the way you zoom in to the map from the main menu is cool.
I personally would enjoying watching your gameplay footage if you would like to share it. Edit: Also thanks for the video Sanuku.
The thing is: that's always what they say ... I know from your website that you aren't a fan of freemium games, but, well .. I mean, if the iap's aren't required, why not leave them off and sell a full and fantastic premium game? To me the existence of iap's totally destroyed the fun of TD games. Because if you fail, you never know whether it's your clumsiness or the perfect slightly imbalanced game that wants you to buy some "shortcuts". And that's a pity, 'cause I actually love the TD genre ...
Yes, IAP is always a tricky topic, all I can say is that this game was fully beta tested with no IAP being available to the testers. On all levels, and all skill settings. It really isn't something that we expect people to use if they don't want to. However, we could see no reason to leave out the choice for players to instantly upgrade things if they are that way inclined. This was asked for in Sentinel 3, as some people just want to unlock everything and go for a highscore. Choice is a good thing we think.
It can get old asking about IAP. It's definitely a sensitive subject around here. I appreciate the response. It sounds like this won't be an issue. Thanks.
Gotta say it's fascinating to watch videos of new players taking a crack at the campaign. I must have finished it at least eight times on various difficulties during alpha and beta, and after a while I tended to go about things the same way with regards to tactics and build order. It's good to see what people do coming in fresh
Just played through level 1, sadly, had to stop and prepare for work, but I see myself burning lots of time here. So far so good. As for iAP, i have never bought any iAP on any games, and while I admit I prefer not seeing them on the game, it doesn't really bother me that much.
I played the first 1 and 2 all the way through, the third I kind of started and forgot about so still deciding if I'll pick this one up. It was certainly one of the best tower defence games on iOS out of the hordes on the store.
We'll worth the purchase. There is a ton of depth to this game. No IAP needed to play whatsoever. 5star for me. Great soundtrack also. I hope this gets the attention it deserves. Cheers
I'll probably rate it 5 stars as well (after I play some more), my initial impressions lead me to believe that they've surpassed Sentinel 3, which is one of my top 5 TD games of all time.
Played about the first 5 levels of this game and it's pretty freaking awesome. I loved sentinel 3 and so was a no brainer for me. The music is amazing just like sentinel 3. (I think I even heard some reused tracks!!). This game is amazing and I recommend it to any TD fan!! My only real issue with the game is how the mech (Artemis) looks. It just looks so fake and toy like in my opinion. It just looks so low in quality compared to other graphics the game has. Just a small nitpick on an amazing game.
Gameplay is OK, but what about graphics and animation? Really outdated. Especially the guardian. Just plain fugly.
Yes, as well as the new exclusive music in Sentinel 4, we've included all the older music from Sentinel 2 and 3 for additional variety Thank you all for the feedback and support so far. For you guys not enjoying the look of the Artemis mech, there is another unlockable commander (the Hyperion) once you get a few levels into the campaign. I'd be very interested to know if you like this one more..
