Haha... I remember myself being so conflicted when I initially made this thread. Looking back, I would have kicked myself in the ass for selling my iPhone 4 for the SII. Considering I don't really feel tempted to get a 4s, i'm more than happy still using the original iPhone 4. You can only "connect the dots looking back"... it's impossible to do so looking forward, indeed
The Galaxy Nexus looks pretty good and all but I think the s2 is still the better option well when it gets ICS, it just looks better and has the better camera. Hope the s3 appears soon I'm going to snap that up at UK launch and not waste time comparing.
I think Samsung is probably the most advanced tech company in the world today, all of the idevices have several Samsung parts inside the case I don't think we would have half of the cool things we do without them. But I do still feel the nexus prime is a downgrade from the S2 just based on the following. Super Amoled Screen (not plus like the S2) No SD Card (unlike the S2) 5mp Camera (Galaxy S2 has 8MP) The only advantage I can think of is it's a Google phone so it's pretty much guaranteed to be upgradable, it does look good though just not as good as the S2 and I do like the no buttons all screen.
I was considering a Samsung Galaxy Player, ended up with a Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4g Touch(as the SGP was a bit underpowered), really nice phone, I've only had it for a couple of days, but so far so good. The screen is absolutely stunning, the colors just pop out of the screen. No lag, like I've had with other Android phones in the past, this thing is fast.
Update: Since I put up my iPhone 4 on sale on local forums here a couple of months ago, i continue to get offers for it and messages asking me if it's still for sale. I still haven't completely gotten over my desire for the SII, I now realize. One of the biggest breaking points for me is the quality of apps on the AppStore vs the Android Market... it just can't compete. Games are an important part of my life on-the-go now more than ever, since i've literally given up on console gaming as of late... iOS gaming has succeeded in filling that thirst very effectively. I do feel switching to Android would have more negative effects than positive ones... the AppStore is just too good to give up IMO.
