Should I sell my iPod 1G before the iPod 3G comes out? Because I'll be getting it and sell my old one (1G). Should I sell it before or after the iPod Touch 3g comes out? I'm thinking it will be worth more if I sell it before the iPod Touch 3G comes out. If I sell it after the iPod Touch 3G it will be worth less. What do you think?
You never know what may happen. I would keep the 1G until you have the 3G physically in your hand. You may lose a couple bucks by holding out but it's probably not going to be a very significant delta. There's an analogy I use for this kind of stuff. Usually I use it in the context of dating girls but I think it applies here also. When monkey's are swinging through trees in the jungle, they don't let go of one branch until they have a secure grip on the next branch. Otherwise, they may miss the next branch, wind up with nothing in their hand, and fall on their ass.
If you have a spare iDevice to keep you busy for next 2-3 weeks then selling it off wont be a bad idea if you get a good price for it. Otherwise keep the current iPod with you until you have the new one in your hand.
just wait till apple themselves officially announce it. if there's no such thing and you've already sold it, you're screwed
As far as doubts about apple not refreshing the iPod lineup are concerned, I`d say there`s nothing to worry there. Apple has been refreshing their iPod lineup every september for as long as I can remember. And if that still leaves any doubt, this will clear them all up....
