Nearly a year ago I set out to make/publish my first game. I wanted to take on a small project that I could finish in a month or two so I decided to build a brick breaker game. Well, the idea has evolved quite a bit and my timeline got stretched to over 10 months, but now I am finally ready to release it I’d love to hear any thoughts that you have on it. If you can give me some advice (no matter how big or small) on how to make the game better, I’ll give you a free code to remove all of the advertisements. Just make a comment with your idea on how to make the game better or more beautiful. I’ve done just about as much I could to make Seeing Stars beautiful, I can’t wait to hear more ideas solarnya Well-Known Member Jul 22, 2015 907 287 63 Male Close to Tokyo, Japan #3 solarnya, Oct 11, 2017 hi! are there 4 kind of ad removal options it seems what's the difference? All of them are the same thing, they remove 100% of the advertisements. Just if you happen to feel sorry for me or have some extra change weighing down your pockets you can feel free to give it to me! I was kind of going for the Humble Bundle pay what you want method, but the mobile eco-system isn't really set up for it so I had to improvise. JeromeG Active Member Dec 31, 2015 26 8 3 #5 JeromeG, Oct 11, 2017 The game is visually beautiful and the gameplay is a simple, pick up and play brick breaker. There are ads but they seem to be infrequent. I need to spend a little more time with it but one thing I'd like to see is an easy mode. After playing for a little while, the highest score I could get is 31. Overall it's cool and certainly worth a free download. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #6 orangecan, Oct 11, 2017 I'm playing on the Air2 and there seems to be a fundamental bug - if I hit the asteroid and it goes off the side of the screen it just comes back down offscreen and blows up killing me. It's like there's no barrier at the sides. Am I doing something wrong? Given that the other comments dont mention it and it basically makes it unplayable, it could be an Air2 bug? EDIT: I just restarted the game and it now has barriers and bounces off the screen edge. I've just restarted the app a few times and 3 times it worked and twice it came up with the bug. I'm on iOS 10.3.2 if that helps. Like what I've played so far though. BlueFootedNewbie Member Oct 9, 2017 10 0 0 USA http://www.BlueFootedNewbie.com #7 BlueFootedNewbie, Oct 11, 2017 Thanks Jerome! A lot of the feedback that I received echoed your thoughts that the game was too hard. I'm definitely gonna push an update this weekend that will hopefully help with that. I sent you a PM with a promo code to remove the ads as a thanks for your feedback BlueFootedNewbie Member Oct 9, 2017 10 0 0 USA http://www.BlueFootedNewbie.com #8 BlueFootedNewbie, Oct 11, 2017 Uh Oh orangecan! Thanks for letting me know about this (special thanks for providing the specs and all ). I'm glad you found somewhat of a workaround, I'll be sure to fix it before this weekend. I'm really enjoying it when it starts without the bug, it's a lot of fun. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #10 orangecan, Oct 12, 2017 I've been playing more and I've got agree with JeromeG it's a bit too hard for me at the moment - but I'm more than happy to concede that might be down to me just being a bit crap. I think one possible option would just be to make the paddle a bit bigger? BlueFootedNewbie Member Oct 9, 2017 10 0 0 USA http://www.BlueFootedNewbie.com #11 BlueFootedNewbie, Oct 13, 2017 Thanks for the update orangecan, and yeah, feedback has been nearly unanimous that the game is too difficult. I will definitely be pushing an update next week with a larger paddle (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
