you forgot the Quest which is really other than controls and the same face appearing around towns, a very very high calibre game. in fact, it is actually possessed of role playing where none of those final fantasy or dragon quest games are. these sword and sorcery games with avatar points, but have no role playing elements. im sure that as the app store picks up, there will be even better additions to both role playing games and anime RPG's that will rival the best on consoles.
Not really sure what this is supposed to mean, but I've been playing CRPGs for 20 years now, and I loved both The Quest and it's forerunner, Legacy. Why exactly do you hate it so much?
i also hate the quest-its not my type of rpg i guess consediering i love every other kind-the first person veiw doesnt work for me and the controls suck
I just grow tired of retro RPG ports. They'll get old like iPhone puzzle and TD games, pick one from any of the billion out and soon to come.
What is a CRPG? I actively follow the games industry, and I've NEVER heard of a CRPG, haha. EDIT: Just wiki'd it, now I understand!
Looks interesting, I haven't bought an RPG for my iPhone yet and I do have my eye on a few. I may just add this one to my list.
i would get both of these. i think this game looks cool that your character changes along with what you're equipped. then again, this needs a video of a gameplay
I hope that's official. From all the videos, the game seemed pretty much finished and the only problem was the translation to english and stuff. I believe inferi is working as a beta tester for that application so it probably is official.
I'm not sure how much this has been tested before their call to closed beta testers, but so far us "closed beta testers" have not received a build to test on. If it is just minor translation stuff that needs to be tweaked yet, then I could see May 2nd being reasonable. Otherwise, given that it's already April 17th, that seems like a bit of a crunch to do testing, submit the game and get it approved. What I've been reading around these forums lately is that Apple's approval time is around 8-9 days right now, which means the game would have to be submitted by the end of next week to make May 2nd. Maybe this just means that our beta testing job is going to be easy
i will be getting zenonia for sure, because bs09 was the shit, and i believe i will give them a shot at rpgs i wish i got into beta!!
Yes it does badly. Real problem here is that Chillingo is just a publisher, they aren't making or tweaking the game, I mean they also put out this RPG: :\
I think the graphics need to be a bit more polished. Looks more like an exact port from the mobile version. It might look that way because of the way the screenshots are compressed though. It seems like a nice game, hopefully gameplay videos come soon.
