After escaping a near-death collision that left you and your ship in a worse than bad state, your only link to normality is MAC; the Miner's Assistant Computer. But there's no time to worry about your possibly (probably) damaged brain, lack of memory and your inability to speak, there's mining to be done! However, just as you're returning to the old flow of things, a distant signal beckons you onwards. Where will it lead, what is out there, and what in the world is going on?!All this and more await, when you discover the Secret of the Cores! I love Space Miner so found this entertaining as well. You mine asteroids for resources, sell them, upgrade, and reach the next waypoint and piece of story. The controls get the job done and it all plays out ok once you know what you have to do. Don't be like me and fly to every waypoint without upgrading. Do a round of upgrades at each waypoint atleast. There are four different upgrades: hull which gives you a new ship style that's stronger, Eng that increases your total energy, cargo slots, and gun which gives you a new gun type that's stronger. I found out the hard way that upgrading is essential right off the bat and just decided to start a new save. Only lost like 15 min, no biggie. Maybe a little hint telling you to explore a bit and get stronger before heading out would be helpful at the beginning. It sounded to me it was important to find waypoints first. That is until the asteroids utterly kicked my ass. At one point I thought you should have named it Mean Asteroids Out to Ruin Your Day. Lol. There are no enemies to kill but these asteroids will soon become your enemy. Some of those long trips to distant waypoints were intense which was a neat feeling. I wondered a couple times will my ship survive the pounding of asteroids or will I run out of fuel. It's a short game but the end was worth it. Also I must admit I was curious to the claim of worst voice acting ever and it definitely isn't but when all the voices were you in different tones, that was funny. Nice first game, Arman. I can tell it was made with love especially after reading the Afterword. I hope you pursue your passion, keep having fun creating, and that your second game may be even grander. Sorry if my little write up is all over the place or too long. I rarely do these things. Just wanted to for this because I respect a one man team giving his best. Thanks.
