iPad Secret of Mana - (by SQUARE ENIX)

I like the game, but there is no map of any kind?

 

It's a port of an insanely popular old SNES game. Just search online, and you'll find tons of maps.

 

^Sounds good, thx. Was hoping there might be an unadvertised in-game map, like in the FF1 port.

 

Not that I know of.

wow, the controls are not really good, too sensitive and it's hard to control the hero.

 

My thoughts exactly. I do not like the controls at all. I gave up on the game 15 minutes through. :/

 

Well, that settles it, no Secret of Mana for me. I am surprised when big companies release games with poor controls, especially when there are a lot of smaller devs that can get it right. Oh well, if they fix it someday and have another sale I will probably get it.

 

well, controls are not really good but still the game is playable.

 

Controls are as good as you can get for virtual controls. The virtual joystick is smooth and responsive. If you don't agree, then I must say you probably don't like virtual controls all together.

 

Is there a quest log or something, cause I forgot what I was supposed to do.

Lol yeah I finally figured it out by just wandering around but who's Flamie?

 

it's possible to buy some walnuts before entering ruins in pandora? Nekos in forest and near water palace are not there, shops in pandora and keppo vilage does not have them on stock too.

 

I think the only place you could have potentially gotten walnuts was when Neko was in the Witch's castle.

If you're struggling with the Ruins just try and run through the actual building quite fast, dodging especially those enemies that look like miniature versions of Bowser from the end of Super Mario World. Don't use the Sprite's magic at all and save it up for the boss and just use earth magic, 1 full blast of his MP should do it.

 

thanks. well that's the problem, the Sprite's magic is not enough and for enough melee there is not enough time. gonna try it again.

edit: tried the stacking of magic and it's worked.

 

Erm, I downloaded this game, and I can't read the icons and text on the iphone 4? Is this a common problem? It looks all squished in.
