If you were truly thoughtful and everyone was your friend you could hold contests of your own for a few games that you think deserve attention with the $1000 winnings you received from Flo Flo. Even if you spent just $25 of it you could hold 3-5 contests.
But I could not hold any contest here because only developers are allowed to do it. I did it once here and everyone was bashing me like "Are you a developer? If not, you should read rules.", "You're not reading rules, you should be banned.", etc... So ever since that day, I've become evil..... (Good story... )
Too bad your story has zero merit There are numerous other ways to be generous at TA forums if the contest ides is invalid. Random Acts of Generosity Promo code giveaway club

There are also numerous ways to stop harassing other posters, the core and easiest one simply being "knock it off". The level of childishness here is rising; trying to guilt winners into refraining from participating in activities or, even worse, give you money they won, is incredibly distasteful. Regardless of how much or little somebody has won, you're not entitled to any of it, nor should they feel guilty for having won, nor feel the need to find ways to "be generous" to greedy little hobbits. If they happen to win a chance-based contest, that's hardly their fault; if they win a high-score-based contest because you couldn't, maybe you should find somebody else who can beat that score, not attack them over it. If a developer wants to limit entry to their competition to those who have not won anything before, that's up to them to decide; if they don't, then continued participation is fair game, whether you personally like it or not. If Animex wants to willingly part with some of his winnings, that's fine, but ceaselessly needling him into doing so is just not cool, and really should stop. Stating your opinion of the situation once is enough; continuing to poke at somebody, particularly in the way people have been, ventures into the realm of harassment.
True. Sorry anime, I guess I've became too addicted to App Store that seeing credits be on 1$ and then seeing you win multiple contests feels unfair. And like someone earlier said, when you do congratz it really is unfair cause you should be happy cause the winner might actually need it. Sorry anyway.
No problem. Sorry too for commenting with this -> . I guess starting today, I will be congratulating people with smile on my face.
I never once said that he should stop participating, nor did I say that he should give me anything from his winnings. It's only when he said that he's thoughtful and wants to be giving that I pointed out that he can in fact be generous here in many ways. But yes, his responses did annoy me immensely, like when I would in jest point out that he also won $1000 in another contest his reply was, "Who?" And when he would join an SD version contest while already owning the HD version, "for collection purposes".
You weren't the only person involved in this; my post wasn't directed specifically at you alone. These are not positive interactions and, if they had been directed at me, would feel uncomfortably like somebody making demands. Quite clearly Animex wasn't originally intending to run any competitions here, and based on the rules, actually could not. Telling him "if you were truly thoughtful, here's how you could give your money away", and then continuing to harp on about it is where it becomes inappropriate. If he does decide to do something with that money that involves this community, I should certainly hope he does so because he wants to, not because he is being made to feel uncomfortable for not doing so.
do it with a big smile this looks much nicer in any case, we ought to stop the discussion here and let the attention be refocused on Secret of Chateau de Moreau!
Unfortunately for you, your posts were taken in context. At no point did Animex solicit your advice on what to do with his money, so your response was rude and presumptuous, not only in content but in tone; there is no "context" involved which changes that. Animex never said he was "thoughtful and wants to be giving", he simply joked that he was being "thoughtful" by trying to get a code to give to a friend, then made a couple of light-hearted comments derived from - and aimed at defusing - the fact that a handful of people were becoming annoyed at his entering (and winning) many competitions, as well as his comments to other contest winners. That is the context; your pushy, confrontational posts ("If you were truly thoughtful"; "your story has zero merit") stemmed from an agenda that had very little relevance to Animex's actual intentions. Short version, because you don't seem to be grasping the point here: what anybody does with their money is not actually your business, especially when they're not asking for your input. LOLavi was classy enough to take feedback on board without becoming argumentative; can you do the same?
I think there's one code left to be given out (I hope so, otherwise this has been a zombie thread for a while); I just bought the game outright for $1, because the mucking around needed to compete for the code wasn't worth my time. ^_^ Bit of a pity this game fell through the cracks and didn't get recognised in the weekly polls.
And just to get this thread back on track: http://twitter.com/#!/PhoenixOne4/status/109988864034217985
Though I was 'classy' to take the feedback I must admit I was really childish and mean to iAnimeX... Sorry. Oh and I really suggest you to buy this if it really is $0.99cents still. Just an amazing game!
