Dark Gnomes The Dark Gnomes on home island DO drop items. Just got a Dark Gnome Hand. Pretty sure the chance is a LOT lower, but they do drop. Don't give any XP, or count for quests, though.
With the new monster drop rate from this last update, that gnome has dropped an item everyday for me.
Cool. I didn't know the update affected those guys, too. But I killed one of my friend's gnomes, and it didn't drop anything.

It is one of the city council mandates. You spend pearls for a daily/weekly/monthly bonus. For 5(maybe 10?) pearls to get a 10% discount at all the clothing stores for a day.
Why do you want to start over? New areas of the Seabeard world will be opening up soon. New Monsters, new islanders, new food, fish, quests & ugly clothes are on their way very soon.
Derek Ploughman Does the guy up on the hill at Sunsoak Lagoon (Derek Ploughman) do anything? He's never given me quests, neither during the day or night. When I talk to him, he just blabbers about how long he's been there and how much he loves it.
LESSON of The Day: PEARLS of Wisdom If you have a building under construction, then remember there is a mandate to reduce building time by 25%, don't waste your pearls. Mandates are not retroactive. I knew it was a risk going in, but I was tired of waiting and decided to take the risk.

I believe if you have multiple iCloud or Gamecenter (same thing?) accounts then you can have multiple games going at once. This would be a way to start over. My wife has two games going
Is there an advantage to playing multiple games? Maybe buying goods from yourself perhaps or trying different tactics? I just reached level 11 today - YAY ## My library (empty except for a learning pod) is now complete. Sad that I can't furnish it.
I had a stonefish freeze on me twice after hitting it on the head at Dorado Mine last night. Both times I had to leave and return to the island to get it to move again. Caught it on the third attempt after making sure not to hit it again.
Yes, I can verify that this is where it happened to me 3 times and every time it was a Golden Pike. The latest was tonight.
