To be honest, the original plan of the app was to have an energy system between islands, which, if you think about it, would have severely slowed down the players, hence giving them the time to make new content. Instead they took this risk, and now you have to wait for new content rather than wait to progress at any rate.
Are there ever more than 10 pearls you could win? I don't really care too much about the other items.
Nope, nothing more than 10 pearls. It's kind of disappointing. I wish that if you had over 1000 worth in the machine, that there would be a new pearl winning that is 1/100th of the score of the items.
Yeah. I used to spend hours every day playing and buying. I usually spent $10/wk on the game. Now I just log in once a day to collect the reward.

Anyone else pissed off about the gender-restricted clothing items? I can't believe we can't wear anything we pick up! I just sent this to the developers: Good day, I am writing to you in regards to your wonderful game, Seabeard. Though I have spent many hours on this game, there is one thing in particular that I cannot let slide, and I'm sure several other players are also upset about as well. Many of your clothing options for characters are restricted by gender. This is a big problem, because it implies that certain genders are not allowed to be certain things. Take my character for example. I was extremely excited about receiving a scientist lab coat from the recycling machine. I immediately went to put it on my character, and low and behold, a frowning face is covering the item, indicating that my character cannot wear it. Why? Why can't girls be scientists in this game? Scrubby Dubbs is not impressed. From a marketing point of view, it also removes a fun aspect of the game to have characters of both genders be able to wear silly costumes, such as a warrior in a princess costume. Players would get such a kick out of that, and probably share pictures of the game with more friends. You need to consider what kind of messages you are sending to players of any age. These little nuances shape our future generations and tell them what is appropriate for them. I'm not exactly implying that a little girl will think that she cannot be a scientist when she grows up because she can't wear a lab coat in Seabeard, but you get my point. I see no downside in allowing both genders to wear what they want. We are living in such a progressive age that it is not really acceptable to see these kinds of things in games anymore. This is 2015.
Does anyone know how long until the dark gnomes in dorado mine respawn? i just defeated all of them but now wendy burlap wanted me to defeat 3 of of them, but the time limit is only 12 hours.

Their twitter says they sent the update to Apple last Tuesday. It seems a lot of last minute bugs came up and they have to delay the update to fix things.
That mission can be completed. The trick is to not accept Wendy's quest right away. Come back again in 6 hours or so and accept it. Then a few hours later the gnomes will respawn and you'll be able to complete the quest.

I seem to need many pieces of Rock Golem to proceed. The warrior woman wants it, the archaeologist girl wants it, but I have yet to seen one after my first time in the temple. I'd been waiting for 4 days and going back religiously every 12 hours. Any tips?
Level up the warrior and get lucky is all there is to it. Fortunately this upcoming update apparently doubles monster drop rates.
