Yes, yes and yes. Agree with everything here. Fishing has become so monotonous - and we should be helped out a little by tying fishing ability to the level of the fisherman.
Ha! I hear ya! Had the exact same drop and Wendy Burlap had the audacity to ask for a Rockdust Plank! I have one b/c I used two pieces and 13 pearls to make a powder, then made the Rockdust plank, but I'm saving that for the trader house. Have one Rock piece and waiting for one more to use pearls again to make a powder and then will only have one powder left. Definitely the longest road block in the game. Captain Level 11, Angler Level 4, Warrior Level 3 (111/200 XP, so even Level 4 would take approx 6 more days), Archaeologist Ready to be updated to level 1 (for days now)
For people complaining about Wendy giving them the quest to kill gnomes after they have already killed them try this Stick to the walls when you first enter the caves and you should end up still having 2 gnomes that you won't run into plus the one in the caves going to the left side of the mountain is another so after talking to her head back down and finish those 3 off to complete the quest
I haven't personally seen the tree finch, the beaver, or been able to snap the firewaxwing, the last due to inaccessable areas in the temple. I got their info secondhand and will update it if it is incorrect, so let me know if it shows up for you under other circumstances. Thanks!
Oh, I forgot to mention. The blue and green camp bed ought to be outdoor or indoor furniture. They are currently only indoor furniture even though they are outdoor decor on Woodcutt Isle.
Completely agree. The first fishes should be "automatic" catch for higher angler levels. I also realize that when we tap the water to start fishing, the character will move to an area on land that is the nearest to spot we tap. This becomes silly sometimes. In seadog cove, there's an area which when you tap there, the guy will go around the beach to go to the dock. So your character keep moving back and forth from the beach and the dock just because you tap little bit further. This also shows in sunsoak lagoon in which the guy keeps running everywhere.
Hey HandCircus Thanks for the great update. The item remaker is quite addictive. Unfortunately, the problem with the sailing games is not solved. In fact I think for me, it got worse. I read in another forum that logging out from your game center account will solve this. I tried and it worked. The game became a hell of a lot smoother. Please please fix this issue. I have a suggestion regarding the in app purchase. I really want to show my appreciation for you guys by giving you some money, and I did (I bought the starter pack), but I am still willing to give more. However, the IAP options right now really doesn't appeal to me. I hate paying to buy premium currencies, even more when the value for money is not very good. It feels like a purchase that makes you hate yourself a little bit afterwards. I don't like to pay my way through a game like skipping the timers or getting items you haven't found. Personally, I only use pearls for upgrades. On that note, I also think the cost for the second upgrade shouldn't be double the first one. It should remain the same or just a tad bit higher (there are a LOT to upgrade!). What I will GLADLY pay is for a more "permanent" kind of advantage. Like some kind of coin multiplier or shortening all waiting time a little bit. Something that made the game just a little less grindy. Another idea is to pay for a little extra content that is outside of the main story. For example, an extra island that just give you extra resources (fish, trees, bushes). Anyway, just my thoughts.
@sevallis You can actually snap the firewaxwing if you stand in the lower right corner of the stone rectanglar area that the chest is in outside at the temple and point the camera up to the cliff nearby that it sits on. That's actually how I managed to capture it (and complete the BEAKS quest) since I'm still working on entering the rest of the temple myself. The beaver was at the temple this past Sunday afternoon in the rain (US EST time zone). Whether it will be there this Sunday or another afternoon on a rainy day I'm not sure yet, but I plan to keep checking. Tree Finch was bright and early on Monday morning after the night of rain on Sunday on Sunsoak Island
So yea, today was the first time that I actually lost a mini game where I didn't hit anything. I have played a lot of mini games. Gold time was like 27 seconds and I was at 27.2. I did not hit anything and it was an easy dangerous waters course. The last update seems like it added more problems to the mini games than before. Sometimes before the update I could get through 1 or 2 out of 4 mini games with no lag spikes. Now I have at least 1 lag spike in every mini game. And often I have 2-3 lag spikes in the same mini game. I play on an i-phone 6+. Is anyone else having more problems since the update?
@HandCircus I love all the new features, but, like a billion people before have said, the fishing is monotonous and can make people feel like the game doesn't have enough content. Once the game feels like a grind, some players will stop. Obviously, there are some people that enjoy grind-y games and will quite enjoy grinding for money, but it is probably best not to alienate the average player. I'm still very excited about the prospect of item trading between players. I know you are concerned about balancing issues, but I would really like to give my friend all these extra root removers! As the game is now, I don't really feel like the game is social enough to encourage my friends to play. If I get a friend to play, I won't even be able to help them progress in the story. I can't give them that blue apple early on, or get them root removers, or extra dynamites or fish. I understand there's a whole balancing issue, but not being able to trade hugely detracts from this game. Plus, I can't wait to take those pretty green emeralds from my friends!
Oh yes, yes PLEASE. Just slip this into your next big update Also, please don't limit trading to friends, have some sort of world market, but it takes some money to put your item(s) up for a certain amount of hours. I would LOVE it.
Any input on if I should go for the Scholar Quarter ( 4k Gold ) or the Stone Bridge to the Archeon Temple ( 2600 Gold )
Am trying to complete the BEAKS Quest too. And of Coson other occasions, when the characters wants a pic of a TreeFinch. I shall wait cmg Monday ..hope I can get a shot of the TreeFinch.
100+ and you get a random remover on the wheel, atleast thats my experience. Really loving it though, got 6 barrels, 2 tree and 5 dynomite since patch
