How long does it take to reset the monsters on the mine island?? Got a quest to kill 3 monsters and sadly I did that before I got the quest. Seems like questions of this nature might be nice to have a central location to find vs going thru 90+ pages in the forum...FAQ and/or wiki perhaps??
Pretty sure it's 12 hours for monsters. Fish is 6 hours. Plants and trees are also 12 hours as far as I know
Finally managed to buy 2 explosive barrels for 700G each. It might be a New Year thing so I wouldn't be suprised if everyone has a chance to buy it. I can choose to build a 2nd crew house for the warrior or rebuild Seabeard manor. Which one offers more things to do?
Crew house for sure. You get to do monster fighting and fugitive quests which are good income sources. Only thing is you then need to build the monster stall and trader house to benefit from it
I am still working on getting the warrior. I have the resources to build the crew house for the warrior, or fixing the fishing building. Which one should I choose? And when the fisherman is upgraded is the new fish harder to catch, or respawn less?
Fishing level 2 requires you to go 24 hrs without your fishing guy. Levelling up gives you new fish to catch which take longer to sell. Rank 2 is a fish that takes 40 mins to sell. I'd go fishing since to really benefit from the warrior you need to buy monster stall plus build a trader house.
I'm trying to decide between building the fourth trader house for the monster parts trader or repairing the warrior academy to level up my warrior. Which should I do first? Which unlocks better things?
Ok thanks, ever since playing the game te warrior is the only"paywall" I've encountered so far. Mostly due to the fact that I need explosive barrels, tree removers and stonefish. And does the rank two fish spawn as often as the ruby and gold fish?
I'm not great with the sailing mini-games, but once catching the hang of how to the smuggling games I have found them relatively easy. Just keep moving back to the middle, and only switch to a side at the last minute when you can actually see where you'll need to go.
Advances the story line and you can repair fishing academy to level up your fisherman. Also visitors come to the island, and instead of quests they'll ask to buy furniture, clothing, and outdoor decorations (so you can get rid of your extra tavern stools and green sports caps). The manor itself doesn't "do" anything though.
Just adding my experience with getting the exploding barrels: I've never had a NPC offer to sell one. Finally won two of them today in medium difficulty sailing challenges. I wonder if the frequency of prize/offers is tied to level. I didn't get any until level 7, at which point I already had warehouse, leveled up fisherman to level 2, blueprints for 3rd trader house and 2nd crew house. The thing I'm happiest about with the exploding barrel, is opening up another spot so that I can move my warehouse next to the manor instead of crossing the bridge to get there every time.
Monster parts trader as you get more income. Levelling the warrior just gives him more hearts which aren't really necessary unless you're awful at the fighting mini game. Also there aren't that many enemies at the start except for the dorado mines.
I think I might have been lucky with drops or purchases regarding explosive barrels and tree removers. I've just rebuilt the gates of knowledge and have 3 tree removers and 2 explosive barrels plus 2 dynamite lying in stock in my warehouse. I've bought a few from npcs since I always keep a stash of 1000g extra just in case plus won quite a few from repeatedly doing mini games
I can repair my fishing academy already and I have not built the Seabeard manor yet. Do the visitors pay a lot for the decorations I don't want?
I see--I guess fishing academy doesn't require the manor. I think the amount varies. You don't get say yes or no to the offer though. You find out the price after you give them the item. I've only sold the low level stuff and the price isn't too high. But I'm happy to clear out the space.
I looked through the thread but wasn't able to find anything. Does owning a pet open up any quests or features?
I don't think so, man. They say "Do you have any clothes?" and then you have the option to drag an item into their hand, and then they just say, great thanks, what were you thinking, 20 coins? and you get paid with no option to retract the transaction.
