    hey dreadnok. I really hope that item trading suggestion you posted earlier in the thread goes through. A lot of the time, reps say that they want to implement it, but then it never makes it into the game. Hope that's not the case here! Trading items will make this game 100x better.

    Definitely agree this would be so fun :D and I would have more incentive to actually interact with the seabeard community :)

    Does anyone do crafting to make money? Like pancakes or toys? How much do those items sell for and is it worth the time?

    Yeah they sell decently well. Pancakes would be a big waste of time if you weren't forced to buy it for quest.

    I played 3+ days trying to get the warrior and I was so excited. After finally building the cabin I had to spend 1000 gold to bring up my prestige 1000 to hire the warrior and 1000 to buy a worthless lion head for my ship. all the gold I was earning to fix my manor. To top it off you can find a new category of items to sell which will cost you 3000 to build a trader house and 1800 to purchase the stall. I really was hoping this game would get better after getting my warrior but i was sorely disappointed. I understand it's a freemium and I loved earning gold and working for it because this game was so unique and the potential was so great but it's to the point it's no longer fun and it has just become so tedious and the satisfaction is so shortllived that I'm very close to just moving on and deleting this app.

    Wow I can't believe that quest line goes that far. That is really dishearting. I don't think I can handle that much of a grind.

    I've noticed that some days the district themes cost coins instead of pearls. Are there other things that normally cost pearls that switch to a coin price every once in a while?

    I agree. It's really demoralizing to work hard gathering all these resources and then find out you aren't actually done. Lots of effort for zero payoff.

    I really want to like this game, but right now the aggravation of the mini-game crapshoot (day 3 with no Target Range games) and the "gotcha" quest lines are outweighing my enjoyment.

    Hello!

    Thanks for all of your replies, feedback and thoughts over the last few days. Its been an amazing week and we've been so happy to have so many people playing the game (although at times our servers were less happy!). We're just preparing a new build which aims to fix up a number of issues that people have been experiencing, as well as introduce two big new features which we are hoping to get into your hands very soon. This build is a lot more generous with Pearls too! (One of our biggest requested changes).

    The release notes are below:

    * DAILY REWARDS!
    - Come back each day to win Pearls, Coins, and amazing prizes!
    - Dynamite, Explosive Barrels and Tree Removers are all up for grabs
    - Complete the calendar to win the ultimate prize - the Master Masks!

    * ITEM RE-MAKER
    - Got a bunch of items you don’t want? Use them with the Remaker on Seadog Cove!
    - The Remaker takes in items of any value, and converts them to clothing, accessories, decorations and more
    - Additional prizes include Pearls and Coins

    * FIXES GALORE
    - It is now much easier to get smuggling quests on Seadog Cove
    - Less stalls on Sailing Minigames
    - Plus many bug fixes and tweaks to make Seabeard even more fun to play!

    Here are a few screens of the new features.

    It's nice and refreshing to see devs that actually listen to what their gamers are saying. Thank you!

    I am up to the point where I can fight monsters now. I havent gotten either the woodworking stall or the monster parts stall. I was thinking of just skipping the woodworking stall for now since I am getting monster parts. Is this a good idea? I only have 1 more trader for now.

    I don't like that when a building is under construction, you can't even view the required material for other buildings.

    Also, I'd like to see (at least some) inventory items actually stack. (i.e. 2 cow leafs only take up 1 bag slot)

    I get a few issues with the game. Beside the usually harsh IAP criticisms.

    1) The older gentlemen that first brings you to the island. Well he stand right next to my fishmonger stall so I accidently click on him all the time. You move him a few spaces?

    2) In the restaurant, the man in the front loves to stand in the door so I can't make reciepes or stand on the exit so I have to wait for him to move. Please just make him stationary.

    3) Fish respawn every 6 hours but don't seem to actually respawn if you don't catch the previous fish. I was busy yesterday so I couldn't play until about 9pm. But there wasn't a single rock fish to be catch because I didn't play 6 hours earlier.

    Nice! I just have one problem: last night i was playing seabeard. I got the one stonefish i needed and searched for an hour for to build the second trader house. So I quit. An hour later, i get on and see that my house did not start building. I thought i started already, but whatever. I went up to begin building and i had not stonefish. I was really mad, but went and after ten minutes i found another one. I began building. Then i quit and went to sleep.ci wake up in the morning and AGAIN it never started. It didnt save anything i did last night either. And by quitting, i went on my island, double tapped the home button, swiped Seabeard away, went to my home screen, and turned off my ipad. Any help? I dont want to go back into the game, in fear of it not saving. I will change my review to a five if you can fix this. Thanks.

    I'm no dev, nor do I know exactly how things work behind the scenes, but I want to say your problem might be the way you are closing the app.

    If you're double tapping the home button and swiping the game away without closing the app with a single press of the home button, it's possible that you are killing the entire process of the game before it had a chance to save or send data to the game server. You are essentially doing the iOS equivalent of alt+f4 on the game. Try closing the game with a single press of the home button first, before completely closing it out with the double press/swipe up method.

    As a long time Animal Crossing player, I am thrilled to find a game that has some of the same qualities and game play. It's similar but different in a very good way. It's a great combo of Animal Crossing gameplay combined with adventure quests. I love the graphics, animation and music. I play with a group of 10 adult gamers and we have played AC together for years now. We all are hooked on this game. Even though the game has IAP, it's subtle and not in your face. Games like this take patience to play. Rome was not built in a day and neither is Arcadia, or in my case, PitFalls. I love a game like this that will keep me entertained for months to come. Keep up the great work and I look forward to further improvements. You have done an amazing job so far.

    That just means the game synced to the server before you killed the app all those times before, but those last two times it did not.

    Every time you load the game, it gets your progress from the server. While you play, the game is constant sending progress data to the server. If you kill the app like that before it finishes sending a piece of data, then the server doesn't have that data and the next time you load it will fetch the latest save from the server (which would be the sync precious to the one that didn't get to finish).

    Again, I don't really know, so I'm just speculating, but I think it's totally possible that's what happened to you.
