My wife and I just started playing this game and we are really into it!! We are both working on our swap-shops now and hopefully that will help off-load some of the junk we r generating. Just a piece of advice to the devs if they r listening, but one of the things that really intrigues the two of us is if something different than the norm happens that we tell each other about...like when we saw a stonefish for the first time (I know they aren't that rare but the first time we saw one we freaked out). I think if really rare occurrences were added into the routine activities that we do regularly - like ultra rare fish, unique items in bushes or trees, rare shells on the beach, etc - that r very rewarding or special would be a great addition that would help increase our interest when things like fishing or foraging start to get boring after a while.
Add friends? How do u get friends in the game? When I open up the options thing in the top left, I can't even select the friends button. ty
Unfortunately the only way of getting them to spawn is to sync the 'regeneration' with nighttime. Even then, there is still a chance that they will spawn as ruby or pike. My own subjective experience is that 20% of fish regenerated at night will end up as stonefish. Based on what I have read elsewhere, night time is classified as 8pm and the supposed fish regen time is 6 hours. Good luck
Yes I have and I am fairly confident it is determined totally at random. The character will have a green jug/vase above their head instead of an exclamation mark. The character in my game that had it was the little girl on Bullhorn Farm. Not sure what a 5 year old girl is doing with an explosive barrel to be honest! She charged 900 coins for it which I didn't have at the time so I went and sold some pike and when I came back (less than an hour later), she was no longer selling it. This is why I would advise to always carry a slush fund of 900 around just so that you can take advantage of these random events. Later that day, someone else sold me some dynamite but it's not the same
Has anyone figured out what pets do yet? I haven't gotten one, but I am wondering if they are for digging up those piles dirt inside the goblin caves...
Do the sailing mini-games ever completely reset? I'm stuck trying to build a second Crew House, and all I need are two screws. But I haven't seen a Target Range mini-game in almost 2 days. It seems like the mini-games between islands stay the same until you play one, and then that route gets a new game. I've been playing them as often as I can, but all I get are Tentacle Terror and Feeding Frenzy games. (And I know I could spend pearls, but I'm out after upgrading my inventory and I'm not going to buy more.)
Don't use pearls for sure! The games reset randomly each time you travel somewhere - even by airship. I do a lot of moving around by airship and checking mini-games. While the games are random, Target Range seems to show up less frequently than the others. Good luck!
I don't think they actually reset. I think the reason it looks like it's random and changing is because the mini games are tied to the connections between islands, not the islands themselves. Try this: 1. Start at your home island. 2. Write down or remember the games you get. 3. Use the airship to travel and then return to your home island. 4. Look at the mini games again. In my game, at least, they're exactly the same as they were before. The only time they change is when I play one of the games. Then that particular destination gets a new game, but the others stay the same. You can do this for every island and (if your game is like mine) they'll all act the same way.
My suggestion to everyone doing mini quests is to try to only do them when the islands are very close the further the island the more chance of failing. If you have too. Any twists and turns involved even the easiest quest become hard so alway look at the red dots showing you the way the boat must travel before choosing. With Freny I alway do a count to be sure of how many Im supposed to get after each feeding. Also if it's a short trip it more likely to just be whales to feed and they are the easy ones
You are right! I was thinking they reset because Seadog Cove --> Mine mini-game is different than the return "flight" of Mine--> Seadog Cove. Thanks for clearing up my misunderstanding! I guess I'll be playing more games to reset them now.
I'm close to bailing on this game. I've just got to the stage where I have to rebuild Seabeard Manor. The cost? 4000 coins. This game could have been great but the grind is so steep I'm considering whether I should persevere or not as the game is starting to get boring. Can anyone who has gone far tell me if there is more to this game? Are there more islands to explore? Do new and interesting parts of the game open up later?
I'm glad to have helped, but bummed this is the way it works. I was hoping that all the games would reset on some separate timer (maybe every 24h) but so far that doesn't seem to be the case. And I still haven't gotten a Target Range game today...
I have the same problem and all I need left is one more screw to build my crew house Also if anyone wants to add me my Game Center is chinky_izza
Soooooo...has anybody figured out what that mysterious rock, with the fake nose and mustache disguise, on Larona Island is for?
I've been curious, are there other islands besides the 6 i have right now? Do I unlock more islands through completing quests? Or is it just the 6 islands?
