This could be a great game, but I'm constantly waiting for things to happen. It's very slow and seems to be hugely dependent on having vast amounts of money and pearls, making it a drudge to play.

I'm hoping that updates might change this ... How about making it easier to get explosives? Or decreasing the spawning times for fish etc?

The mini game lag is awful! It's impossible to win with the lag and it's frustrating. I really hope it gets fixed soon.

The sailing part of the game has become a lesson in frustration. On my 6+ it's terribly laggy and it makes me miss getting 100% success, which in turn makes me lose whatever "rare" item I may have gotten. I noticed on my home island I need weed or root remover to open up space but I've yet to come accross any. I wish the game were more balanced because other than that I'm really enjoying it. For example, in Hay Day, you need dynamite to remove rocks in order to expand. However, although rare, they are accessible through opening chests found on your property or buying them in the community market etc. In this case with the primary way of getting rares unplayable, I feel I'm going to possibly run into a wall on this one eventually. Which makes me a bit disappointed because I honestly enjoy the AC feel I get from it. Hope the dev are keeping an eye on issues.

I have problems on my iPad Air and iPhone 5S too. I get strange lag-like jumps/freezes in the minigames, and not during the rest of the game. I don't think it's anything to do with the hardware.

You get root remover from quests sometimes. I've not seen bombs from quests though.

I'm very close to giving up on this game. There just doesn't appear to be any way to progress for large amounts of time. For example, I needed red paint for something, but it was 36 hours before tomatoes were available. Stonefish are only available at night, so that adds another 12 hr on to whatever timer there is for a building to be built. It's not possible to get milk/eggs after 8 pm, so another 14 hr timer (assuming getting up at 10 am) is added on to whatever those items are needed for.

There are also quests for very rare items. Currently I have a quest that requires 3 blue apples. That is just not going to be possible.

This seems like a premium game very poorly made into a freemium game. Most (all) freemium games I have played have always had tons of things available to do at any one time, and the only thing preventing you from doing them all is currency and timers. You can check on the game for a few minutes once every so often to harvest crops, collect currency, etc.

Whereas in this game very often I have had just one quest, and the thing preventing me from doing it is chance. eg the blue apple for the quest at the start. You can't just check on the game for a few minutes, you have to spend a relatively long time doing boring monotonous things like shaking trees, only to find that your work has been 100% pointless and you have just wasted your time, as no blue apples (or whatever) have dropped.

I've also yet to find the elusive blue Apple to make grog. I check the trees every few hours but just get greens.

Also, I just had three people tell me to buy new clothes as a special quest. That seems pretty silly. I won't even bother doing them because it will eat into all my coins in exchange for a measly reward. There needs to be more variation done there in the timed quests.

Every time I try today it says there's a server error or there was an error establishing the game connection and I need to connect to. The Internet even though I am connected. I've only gotten to play once for about a half hour out of the 4 separate occasions I've tried.

    I'm getting that as well.

Might be a server maintenance although it's not mentioned anywheere.

Yeah I have had this same problem today. The game says error failed to initialize game. Check your internet and retry or something like that.

I can't play at all now. About 10 minutes ago, I've been getting an error saying that it can't initialize the game and to check my connection.

    I absoultely love this game!

I don't understand people complaining that there is not anything to do in this game. when i start a game session, just to visit all the islands to gather stuff, fishing , doing quests, doing challenges and then i realize there is 40 min gone by...

the shores are boring....i cant agree with that. then every game is monotone and you do everything again and again.

my only complaint is that pearls are to rare, they should integrate a system to watch an ad in order to get a free pearl or something like this.

    Game of the week!!

Yeah seems like there are quite a few people getting this error. Could be maintenance or issues with the server.

Servers are down for maintenance is the message I get. Maybe they are fixing some issues?

I'm not complaining at all about the game and I don't want to come off that way. There are just things that need balancing in order to keep people interested for the long haul. So far, I can see myself getting stuck at some point without being able to progress. I do not play games that require me to buy consumables just to progress in the game. I play F2P that are balanced and make me feel like I want to support the developer not that I was pushed into buying due to progression. Those games get deleted off my phone within days.

Transferring Canadian Purchase to the U.S.

I did the Canadian soft launch thing, now the US release is out I am looking to push the Seabeard Purchase to my main account.

I got blocked by iTunes after deleting and trying to re-download from the U.S. store, as that the purchase was made from another account and cannot be repurchased. I am able to log back into my Canadian account and re-download and everything lines up (GameCenter has all my game save).

Resigning that I will just have to live with leaving SeaBeard installed from Canada, I tried purchasing pearls (for US GameCenter player) only to find the same problem.

Anyone find solutions to this problem? Probably too late to warn other soft launch testers...

Seabeard Guide to Wealth through Crafting

I have been working on a spreadsheet to calculate rate of return on the craftable and sellable items. Thought I would share:

Try keeping an eye out for people in outlying islands with notices above their heads. I was able to buy root remover from one this morning for 700 coins.

Does anyone know the requirements for the crew house to get the warrior? Also I've found people selling explosive barrels for 1100g and tree remover for 800g. You can get root remover from certain quests as well
