On rare occasions it appears nears the birdwatchers house Save all your pearls till you can buy a warehouse the only other thing in the game worth buying early on is an expansion to your Fishmonger If you're struggleing with a fish and it's close to getting away hit X and cut it free, it'll still be there to try again StoneFish are like gold early on precious because there used to build things so these are the only fish to save in an emergency where you need space. When asked to find an item that's lost shake everything it's bound to be behind a bush or in a tree. If there's fruits you haven't picked up around the tree you may need to pick them up before the item will fall out. Found items don't take up any room but you must have an open spot before you can pick them up then it's as if they didn't use the space The pace is slow at first so concente on gaining money you'll need it to build and hire people Drift wood appear everywhere but your island and Larona Blue apples are rare but can make Grog on Seadog Cove which is worth more than selling them on your stand Always figure out if a quest reward will payout better than just selling an item before deciding what to do with it some quests will pay more and even pay pearls but some will pay out less. Also remember even if it pays less you'll get EXP Feel free to ask me anything im pretty far ahead now and I've be through a lot. I went into a building and exit the building and the shady character appeared. Might try that. If so, then it is definitely a bug since the same happened to me during the night.
Thanks for all the tips dreadnok. I just got to level 4 right now and I'm catching all of today's fish. I finished building the bridge yesterday to get the Warrior (I thought), but I now have to build a new shop for 300 coins, and I still need to build the food stand for 300 coins to progress. I have 72 coins at the moment, 20 pearls. Liking the game so far I just had a disconnection error, and tried to connect twice, but it says I'm offline. So I'll stop for a few minutes. I was in the middle of sailing, so I wonder where I'll return at.
For those of you have really inconvenient times for work, school, etc. know that you can change your system time. I've done it once before and have not been punished for it (I didn't skip days, which you might get punished for). So clock back an hour, it'll help. It's (sort of) not cheating!
@dreadnok why save pearls up for warehouse? i know it cost 1800 coins, which I am saving up for now. Just got my woodwork trader running yesterday, now i have a little more source of income. And damn my RNG, I'd got 7 blackberries before I could find a strawberry, couldn't make all the fruit punches... They'd really need to up the trading prices of crafted items, so much crafting time and ingredient gathering yet some of these items cost only as much as the fishes.
The pearls will be for upgrading it to get another 35 slots the only other thing worth spending them on is buying another slot from the fish monger

Same here...having connection issues as well. Been a real pain to keep reconnecting every 5-10 minutes.
I'm having connection issues also. Could there be an offline mode added in a future update? The only online features within the game are all of the friends features, but those could simply be closed off when you don't have an internet connection. I'd love to be able to keep playing on the go without being forced to use LTE.
I hope so! Offline mode needs to happen! This game would be basically perfect if it had offline. I don't see a real need to have this as an online game.
